Haven't really tried theese 2 ARs yet and do not know, which one wil give me the best performance.

Have the Argus at lvl 7 and the Saber at only lvl 2 (is the Saber gold viable at this level at all?)

In my current situation, which of theese 2 ARs is the best and what class/caracter(s) would u prefer to use theese ARs with

Saber.

Any marksman class and/or Turians and Geth are all good for Saber.

Saber is my favourite gun in the game. If you've never used it, wait till you hear the noise it makes! (though hearing someone else fire one is kinda dissapointing in comparison.)

If I'm trying to build my consumable item stocks back up, I will plump for the TGI and go with Saber over the Harrier every time....

Saber is always viable and if you shoot from cover, it does have almost perfect accuracy at any range, and great for mid range no scoping.
but the argus does have better damage output, but the argus also has innaccuracy, and recoil. But using a scope and recoil dampener pretty much eliminates this problem, putting it on a turian means the crosshair bearly even shuffles, allowing for 3 easy headshots. I recomend using it on the TSab, to take advantage of the double stagger of sabotage.

Well, the Saber is awesome if you put it on a marksman class. Level won't matter, since you've gotta hit those heads. If you do, then you're gonna 1 or 2-shot everything, despite of the level of the weapon. It only matters against bosses I guess, which is definitely not the strong point of the weapon anyway.

Looks like I'm going for the Saber then and try to run it on a Turian or a Geth for starters. If the accuracy is that good, it should be pretty great. Gonna b fun

Saber is also very cool on the destroyer specced for rate of fire.
Mind you I also carry a Piranha on him for cqc as well.

Sure the Sabre is stronger, but I adore the Argus on the TGI, overload and HS's for big time LOL's.
I like the diff. firing mechanics of the gun, very satisfying...I even like the Valkyrie

The saber is a better weapon
The argue is good too and very accurate, but the recoil is pretty severe
So you need to take that into account

I would probably reverse these two loadouts. Or just not use the Argus at all.

Saber is better but the Argus is a pretty good gun with certain setups.

Weight-to-damage can make a difference. Argus is relatively easy to level up, so with some classes it might be more effective if they're moderately cooldown dependent and you're unlucky with Saber unlocks.

Saber was the first UR I unlocked, and it's still sitting at one, something like a year later.

toru, you can get it to level up by trying veteran packs. here's always 4 in 2 chance you'd get a upgrade. and you should try mix it up with spectre packs or premium spectre packs. those also show up.

Marksman helps the Saber shred bosses with the increase in fire rate, and getting headshots with it makes the all important "splat" sound when the melons burst.

Saber, any class with a hitscan power + Saber = easy headshots.

My favorite class for it is a no pull Justicar.

Saber for mid-long range, Argus for close-mid range. If you're using the latter on a console, better use it on a Turian or with a stability attachment/module.


I can't tell if this thread is just pro-saber or if it is anti-argus. I think it's a great gun despite it being confusing (slow firing, powerful burst rifle. sounds long range but the spread/recoil is horrible for that) and for the weight. It's fun but I can see why people would pick alternatives.

Veteran Packs, for the record, have a 0% chance of getting your UR'S leveled
