Does anyone even use it? Is there a build out there which involves the raptor and is gold/plat viable? 

Maybe the shadow? Or a krogan? Or a volus? 

Can it even 1 shot a swarmer?

Tried it on Turian Soldier on my Xbox account out of boredom. Geth tore me a new one. It didn't occur to me that RoF increase doesn't mean anything if I don't hit the fire button faster.

I'd rather take the Mattock.

Played the vanilla human infiltrator with the Raptor on Gold. Condor. Reapers.

This was the build. I scored a whopping 15,000 points in a gold match. Did not get 25 kills (obviously), did manage to get 5 headshots. I had sticky grenades but didn't even use them because I wanted to get as many points with the Raptor as possible.

Long story short: The Raptor sucks.

Incisor and Indra sort of outclass it. Only reason to drag it out now-a-days is for challenge points or Nemesis cosplay.

I like macros. Even if raptor is ok to fire without a macro. But mattlock... that one would ruin my finger if I didn't have a macro.
Edit - I find raptor ok. But I nearly ever use it becuse I'm not really in to low-powerd-fast-firing snipers.

It was the first weapon I ever used on the Salarian infiltrator.
It performs fine on gold if you have it at X.
Especially now that there is an HVB for SRs
Though if you don't use it on an infiltrator w/sniper damage bonus you are probably going to have a rough time with it.

FQI, and Huntress are both really good kits to get the weapons challenge done on.

Any melee Batarian also puts it to good use........beating the enemy to death with it's awesomeness.

Once we had a themed gold run vs. Cerberus, using cerberus-like characters. Centurion = Destroyer with Harrier, Phantom = Shadow ofc, Dragoon = Phoenix Vanguard, Nemesis = Human feminfiltrator with Raptor. I was the last one, with Disruptor ammo. Guess what? Scored 1st with 120k. Raptor kicks ass and bites fingers, blows heads.

Surprisingly cool on FemInf with Stickynades.

Got tired of using the Indra with my money-grabber energy-draining geth-frying Gold builds (Salarians and Paladin), then I started using it. It's a good weapon if you don't want to lose any recharge bonus without using the classic SMG + Pistol combo. A Level X Predator was my backup weapon.

Try the FQE with the Raptor, HB and pierce mod. Use Inc ammo. Works well for me.

It's okay-ish on the Geth Engineer. Also, good on both Salarians.

@ProstheticLimbs I sincerely hope that was a Private Match... The Raptor isn't that bad... unless you were firing it as often as the Javelin to avoid Carpel...

...so what you're saying is I should avoid trigger weapons because of the carpal tunnel. Noted.

(It probably had to do with playing with a bunch of friends who are super proficient at killing things though, you're right)

If I was planning to use the Raptor, I'd just use the Collector Sniper instead and actually kill things.
