The Raptor is outclassed by the Mantis, a common sniper rifle.

Which may make it the worst non-common in the game. But I don't know... you get a better cooldown with the Predator... so it may be the worst gun, period.

Up to gold level it works on the QFI, or any infil really as long as you're all-in on SR damage, but the QFI can reliably stagger with Sabotage. It's not too shabby on the SE either.

Having said that though, I'd only use it for the challenges... there are always better options otherwise.

...so what you're saying is I should avoid trigger weapons because of the carpal tunnel. Noted.

(It probably had to do with playing with a bunch of friends who are super proficient at killing things though, you're right)

Actually I was saying that the Raptor DPS is low enough as it is without slowing down your trigger finger to avoid Carpel Tunnel.

Speaking of macros, with a 0.061 second delay between up/down presses, the mattock doesn't miss any shots. (I have a burst of 4 set to the macro.) The Raptor will skip one. I only get three.

I was wondering why people don't use it on gold, I put it on the Salarian Engineer with the high velocity barrel and Thermal scope attachments,incendiary ammo for tech explosions,Powe efficiency mod,Sniper rail amp and Operative package.

It works well against Geth,I've played about 5 games with it and only once was I out scored by a Black Widow user, give it ago with my set up before listening to people who say it sucks.

The reason why I use the Raptor instead of the Black Widow is the same reason I use the phaeston on the TGI instead of the Harrier
It's more challenging and fun.

Edit: Use Armor Piercing ammo.

Me too.  Problem is by the time you do get used to it, it screws up your rhythm on other sniper rifles. 

Then I never touched it again lol

I was using it on a Jugg on a Gold solo yesterday. It makes a pretty good shotgun.

You have it. Nemesis have magic faces that can make a Raptor shoot all its bullets in one shot. That's the reason that Nemesis' heads explode when captured, to prevent reverse engineering their face magic.
