I've always been a fan of using lower tier weapons in higher difficulties, but honestly there's just something i don't like about the raptor. It feels a bit unstable, because no matter what you do to it, there is a lot of trigger spamming involved in higher difficulties, not a one or two shot like many other sniper rifles. In comparison to the other single fire weapon which i consider to be in a similar tier, the Saber, it doesn't compare.

I know that's a strange comparison, but for my play style, it is. I like to pace my shots, make sure I go for the headshot or at least a decent shot, and the raptor, while a faster rate of fire, doesn't deliver the same power. And when you have to be scoped in, you lose precious moments and visibility that are crucial in higher difficulties. (I'm assuming the non-camp approach here, so I am thinking more like a sniper on the move.

This weapon would've been perfect to give a higher headshot modifier to. Something to make it worth using at all would've been nice.

It`s a terrible weapon. One time I tried to grind it for challenge, but I quickly learned that it is better to give up entire challenge if I have to use Raptor.
