The human sodier and valguard are great on gold and platinum. As all basic humans. 
If I might, I'd recommend either a build without concussive shot for the human soldier, with a hard hitting weapon like the claymore, the raider, typhoon, etc. Adrenaline rush immediately replenish your magazine, without having to stop shooting. Grenades are amazing. Never go for bonus power in the last evolution of AR.
Or you can choose to spec out of AR to focus on detonating fire explosions or tech bursts set out by your ammo type with concussive shot. Throw grenades at will. The talon or collector smg are great choices for that playstyle.

It's a fairly standard build, with the only thing I think being a bit out of place is that I take Melee Damage at rank 5 of Adrenaline Rush. It's not that I want to melee, but rather I want to be able to make full use of Adrenaline Rush's free reload.

That setup doesn't ever need to reload the Typhoon as long as you take Extended Mags(It also works with the Revenant and Spitfire) since Adrenaline Rush will always be off cooldown just before you run out of bullets.

I might recommend you upgrade your manifest a bit before playing Human Soldier though. Right now your best weapon for that is probably the Revenant.

For Novaguard, ignore Shockwave and max out everything else. The main choice is Nova rank 5 taking either Half Blast or Power Recharge. Both have pros and cons, so it comes down to personal choice. I have one of each spec.

I put the locust because I don't think you have the hurricane or the CSMG. You can exchange for the tempest. For plat you wanna use one of the two URs.

Opinions on the Valkyrie will probably be a bit split around here. It's a decent weapon with two main issues:

1. The second shot in the burst ends up being really inaccurate if you don't use the scope.
2. It deals increased headshot damage, which doesn't work against a lot of heavier units that you'll be seeing more of on Gold.

It's a headshot weapon, so it does largely come down to how good you are at landing headshots. Due to the second point, it can struggle a bit against armoured units(as they're primarily the ones that wont take increased headshot damage).

Yeah, I usually focus on the smaller enemies when I use it. It's pretty good against Cerberus since only the Atlas wont take the increased headshot damage.

For Geth it's Primes and Bombers, Collectors is Scions and Praetorians, and Reapers is Brutes, Banshees, and Ravagers.

I thought Geth primes, Banshees and brutes took additional headshot damage after a patch. Praetorians and Scions have weak spots too which inflict additional damage. Or is it just that the valkyrie doesn't have an additional multiplier for the bosses. I haven't used valkyrie much, so correct me if I am wrong.

Valkyrie works fine on gold, especially if you go AP ammo and can get multiple hits on bosses.  A no-CS build on Human Soldier should pretty much always be running AP or maybe Drill rounds, IMO.  Opinions on that may vary.

As for the weapons that I would consider using if I were you are the Mattock, Valkyrie, and Valiant. Human soldier though works the best with leveled up higher tier guns though, as Cyonan was saying.

Although it depends on a lot of factors, you could consider going Hardening on Adrenaline Rush rank 4... but really that is probably best reserved if you are using a high tier / damage weapon and are set on running a Cyclonic III or IV, and even then it makes a bigger difference in solo than in team games. If that doesn't applyt, then the shield boost evolution at Rank 6 is sufficient. You usually can't go wrong with a weapon damage choice, and it is what I used on HSoldier for the longest time.

I also run Melee on ARush, which actually I think is more standard for good ARush builds than Duration, and for precisely the reasons Cyonan already stated.

They don't have an additional multiplier for them.

Normally you do 2.5x headshot damage with a few weapons having 3x(The Valkyrie is here). The Suppressor does 4x headshot damage.

Against the units listed(plus a few more), every gun does 1.4x headshot damage no matter what their modifier is.

OK, thanks. I knew the BW removed the boss headshot bonus but restored it. But didn't know that the multiplier was a standard 1.4 irrespective of the weapon.
