(I do like how the Illusive Man only meets with you via holograms. He must understand my character would shoot him in the face)
Do you think they'll be wrapped up as a plotline in Mass Effect 2? Or do you think they'll carry over as villains into part 3?
Will it be possible to join them sincerely or even take over?
How about killing IM?
Interesting thoughts I think.

As long as he's spouting his Pro-Human gibberish.

I think they'll be an option to join Cerberus sincerely in the game. There's a racist bent to some of the Renegade options and it occurs to me that you could definitely play to Miranda's loyalty and eventually become the Illusive Man's 2nd in Command.

Or take his place, which would be awesome.

That and he would be very Illusive if he met you face to face, he's got a name to uphold.

I doubt they'll be wrapped up and who says they're villains? Looking at the track record there's a chance Shepard's far worse than these people.

Hope you can join, doubt you can take over.

Doubt it.

Their track record in ME1 shows they're not exactly on the side of the angels. They experimented with rachni, who ended up escaping and killed Alliance personnel on two listening posts (killing all the base personnel at one listening post and decimating the other one). They killed ADM Kohuku's team by baiting a trap for them, and murdered ADM Kohuku when he uncovered information about their organisation. They were also responsible for the akuze fiasco, which again had Alliance personnel die with one sole survivor (either your Shepard if you selected it in chargen, or Corporal Toombs if not). They also killed off a colonial pioneer team (NOT military personnel, but implied to be civilians) who ended up being turned into husks.I doubt they'll be wrapped up and who says they're villains? Looking at the track record there's a chance Shepard's far worse than these people.
All in all, pretty damn villainous to me. For a pro-human organisation, they sure kill a lot of humans. While you could play Shepard as a super-renegade and perform some villainous actions yourself - killing the possessed on Feros and committing genocide against the rachni on Noveria being the two most blatantly obvious examples - Shepard is, after all, one man. There's a limit to how much damage one man can do. When you have an organisation behind you, the potential to do damage increases exponentially.

Oh no arguments here they're horrible human beings, but if you play a Renegade Ruthless Shep he's not much better.

Well you know what they say about making an omlette.

Making it all the more remarkable that they've done so little damage. How many colonists were turned to husks by Cerberus 20, 30? Insignificant even in regards to Terra Nova's population of 4 million. Tragic yes but all for the cause. They can't experiment on aliens to see how to improve humans they need to know how humans react and respond to treatments and trauma's in order to create their super-soldier, for humanity. Their methods are questionable but it's all for the good of humanity. A few humans die now to ensure that no human in the future will ever live under alien oppression.

Ditto, presumably Kaidan?
It seems like a good way to provide Shepard a personal incentive.

I hated Cerberus in the first game and will be looking for any opportunity to stab them repeatedly in the back and then the face. Seriously, they made a mistake with Kahoku, that ticked me off.
It was Kahoku who made a mistake. Stupid paragon.

Mph. We'll see. His intentions do NOT justify the means.

Such organisations are needed. Even the Council knew that when they created the Spectres. People outside the boundaries of law.
I'm glad they play a big role in ME2. And i have allot of faith in Bioware to show all sides of such organisations actions and consequence.
