After spending the morning trying out ME3MP on my PS3, I've got to offer respect to y'all that have managed to get good playing the game on that misbegotten mongrel of console.  Grrrrrr.  Ok, don't really mean that, I love the PS3... but man was this experience painful!!
Turns out it's not me that's an ok player on ecks bawks, it's my super-sweet manifest!  I've been struggling mightily today on bronzes, dammit!  And the troll store, with the avenger upgrades when I'd sell my entire collection of x-box consumables for ONE decent assault rifle or some gear.  That damn dual shock controller - my hands are hurting from the position of the thumbsticks. Wait times for loading...  wow... you peeps put up with a LOT to play this game.  Way more hardcore than I, as I'm only just now learning!
I was hoping to get a little decent before shyly asking to play with some of you PS3 greats, but its clear to me I'd need to put in 1,000 hours on this platform too before that happens, especially without some decent equipement.  So this is me, begging for space in your backpacks.... anyone have room for me? 

I don't even know how the whole friending/messaging system works on PS3, but will try and figure it out...   Won't be on too often, I'm afraid... mostly Mon and Weds during the daytime for Eastern time zone.

If you haven't already watched my drunken ramblings on the first episode of Noob Army, Vic, I suspect that checking it out might make you feel a bit better! 

It takes a while to get used to using the PS3 controller for ME 3. At first, I didn't like it, and my accuracy plummeted. I was over- or under-compensating for everything.

There are advantages to it, though, in terms of sensitivity. Generally, the better your aiming skills, the more you will gravitate towards the PS3 controller for increased accuracy.

Although it blows my mind, I get the 20 headshot medal on Gold with a Widow II (or, now that I've had one for a couple of weeks, a Black Widow I) very regularly when using a PS3 controller.

I have had 20 Headshots on Gold on Xbox perhaps a dozen times, ever. 

Of course, add me (same as XBL and BSN) and I'll accept next time I'm on PSN.

I would say that XBOX controllers are more like the Juggernaut in ME3 MP...built like a tank, hard to kill and quite reliable.  Denying that they are less comfortable than PS controllers is like saying that the earth is flat.

The PS3 controller is a lot to get used to for ME3 if you've spent a zillion hours playing the game with an Xbox controller. I was lucky enough to have an ancient PS3 controller that turned out to be very easy to use compared to the newer Dualshock 3. As mentioned in this thread, there are some pros and cons between the 2 console's controllers, but it boils down to what you're used to when you're just switching over.

But. You are a good sniper. I remember one game we played you got 20 hs with BW. With you and dida in game I worked so hard for that 20 hs with Paladin and failed.

Though, y'all need practice trolling teammates with dem possessed A-bombs...
