Well that's kinda why I tried to make a poll. First with a Paladin and then with a Wraith. If Talon outclasses 2 ultra rares by being a Frankenstein of a pistol and shotgun - it's not a good balance. It should be something in between - not better than both. It should certainly weight more. 

Well, Talon itself is an UR, so I think its OK. Had it been a rare, it would have been a different scenario. The reason I love Talon is due to its effectiveness against shields and barriers making it good for a power based classes. Paladin and Wraith are damn good guns but I would side with the Talon.

The Talon has been my favorite weapon in this game, period, pretty much from release.  I got a ton of upgrades early (I had it to Level IV before I had unlocked almost any other weapons), and I have been using it since.  It's great on casters, weapon users, and everything in between.  It was even better when shield gate was a bigger issue. 

Still, the Paladin isn't as bad as a lot of people are acting.  It's a really good gun for casters, and it hits plenty hard.  Definitely worthy of its UR status.

My favorite of the three would probably be the talon, though the wraith definitely gives it a run for its money. I really like both guns. The paladin is my least favorite UR. A nice gun, but meh.

Wraith damage ****s on the Talon, and it actually maintains very high long range accuracy with the smart choke. Smart choke and HVB on the Wraith makes it superior to the Talon IMO. The Paladin may have a bit less damage than the Talon, but imo the accuracy more than makes up for it. The Talon is more of a short range gun, where the Wraith still outclasses it.

To Miditka77 - but Talon is better. And some classes have accuracy bonuses that benefit the Talon very well to the point where it's almost as accurate as the Paladin. And as I recall - Paladin's clip was nerfed to 3 and it's weight increased, while Talon got to keep 4 shots and the weight got decreased.

I should be the opposite in my opinion.

Oh yeah, on a class like the GI or Turian Soldier, there's no contest.

If you're adding the Wraith in the discussion, that makes it hard.  The Talon and Wraith are my 2 most used weapons.  I probably like the Talon better overall, but the Wraith is better on melee classes.

The Paladin isn't that great in my opinion. It, the Scorpion, and the Indra are tied for my least favorite URs.

The Wraith and Talon are a close call, but I'd probably still go with the Talon, if only because I'm allowed to put a Power mod AND a Melee mod on the same gun on top of the shield/barrier multiplier. Makes me wish the Shadow had a Pistol Cloak instead of the wtfSniper one.

Talon edges Wraith because it has shield/barrier multipliers, you can mod it with a higher damaging barrel mod than you can the Wraith, and it is lighter.

I would rather use the Wraith though and would not be too broken up if the Talon was deleted from the game.

in vanilla single player? Paladin. foes are usually at a longer range and not as strong as their online counterparts.

online? Talon. in a landslide. most fore are stronger and are at a closer range.

If you want to talk about which gun is better overall, it's best to avoid mentioning very specific setups.

Also, unless you're going to use AP Rounds(Which means you give up Incendiary Rounds) then your Talon has no AP which is a pretty significant hit to armour damage output, especially with how many boss units have piercing bugs.

I was told that I would "love" the Paladin once it hit level 5. My Paladin is now at level 6 and still gets absolutely no use.

I much prefer my Talon.

But are they really? Both are mid to long distance weapons. Yes, Wraith may do a bit more damage, but Talon is lighter, has more shots, has power mod and it's just as good against shields and barriers. 

Wraith doesn't do a bit more damage, it does significantly more damage. Talon in many ways is like a Wraith, however the Wraith still hits harder. Talon may have more shots, but those shots tend to be more inaccurate, it also loses significant damage at range. Both are good, but the Talon really can't play in the Wraiths ideal range, outside of that range its accuracy leaves much to be desired.

Having more shots in the clip isn't that big of a deal. The GPR has 5x the amount of shots of the Harrier.

Also consider that if you 1 shot the target, which the Wraith is more likely to do to trash mobs at distance, then it doesn't really matter how many shots the other guy has.

Most of the Wraith's advantage comes from being able to knock out trash mobs at a longer distance than the Talon due to accuracy and damage per shot.

I prefer the wraith to the talon any day of the week, it hits much harder and is pretty light too! The wraith is almost a two shot claymore. You can also equip the combined damage/piercing barrel on the wraith as well as the omni blade which is great for melee classes......
