So he's a medical doctor, a game developer/programmer, and now a beer brewer?

Man, I feel bad for not doing much with my life.

I'll keep an eye on it but I do not expect it to last more than a year. For some reason network and internet craft beer shows do not really take off. I talk to some of the people that hosted one of the more popular shows stated that they got burnt out pretty quickly, but we will see.

I love alcohol as much as the next drunk.but do i want to know the person who crafts the drink.no, it could ruin the beverage for me.plus snobs-hipsters-douches parade things of this nature.so ill be the redneck, who do'snt care and continues to drink

I hear ya man. I don't expect it to last much longer. But for a Beer fan of myself, I enjoy to know the educational purposes of it.

Can't wait until they reach: Boulvard Beer Company B)

Not to sound like a jerk, but what kind of beers have you tried? The ones I think taste like water, the "light" beers, generally have so little alcohol that it doesn't even give you a buzz. If you have tried Stouts, IPA's, Sours, etc and all you taste is water, then I have to think there is something wrong with your tastebuds.

It is mainly the onslaught of people that think all beer should be treated as a 1000$ bottle of wine and that drinking alcohol to get buzzed is the devil. The process is very cool, hopefully my backyard shed will be equipped to make and age beer next year.

My friends tried making Wine. It was..........well *ahem* I didn't even wanted to come near it
But now I got one of my friends growing "hops" in his backyard. He want's to make his own beer. And I'm cheering him on!!!

BTW
I just tried this, I enjoyed it. I'll get it again. Tried Guiness Black Stout....was alright. But original Guiness, IMO is the best then their other flavors

Only kind of beer I drank was Pilsner (lived with a student fraternity for a semester and they only served Pilsner ... and naturally I had to drink lots of it). Never drank beer or actually any alcohol in any significant amount beforehand or after, am not much of an alcohol person. But it was the real deal beer, no light stuff. Real, german standard Pilsner. Still tasted like alcohol flavoured water. Gish, that **** tasted better when it was stale.

So let me tell you, having to drink mug after mug after mug of that ****, letting it go stale as often as you could isn't really the kind of night you want to have. It's why I left (in mutual agreement with the guys) after the semester. If it weren't for the beer, I'd most probably be a fraternity member with at least two fencing duels (mandatory, additional ones are voluntary) and maybe, if I sucked at fencing have a badass scar.

So I don't know if wheat or other beer is any better/less bad. But since I am German and have to go to the Oktober Fest at least once in my live (better sooner than later as they're increasing the damn beer price every single time!) I will eventually try out another kind.

Meh, don't let stereotypes get you down. I'm Belgian so I'm supposed to know about a thousand kinds of beer but I don't

The truth about beer (that many people are reluctant to admit for some reason) is that it's simply not for everyone. How is that different from anything else in life? Beats me. Someone, somehow, somewhere decided that beer is a must-like though, and if you think it's disgusting you're to be shunned and driven out of town by a mob with pitchforks and torches.

At least that's how everyone behaves over here :pinched:

I've had several beers of each style, how many have you had? Just because craft beers are much better made doesn't mean that people cannot drink it out of the bottle or can, or pour it in something that is less than 100$ crystal.
