I'm not sure whether this is the place to ask, but where did the quarian bumbum thread go?

I was enjoying that.

The same place as my LITTLE BLUE CHILDREN thread would be my guess. My thread was shut down because it was considered 'risque' and there are little ones on this forum.

I thought both threads were pretty well behaved. Meh.

Yes, well in the last post I was able to make I used a picture of a nuclear Mr. Finger Digit Hand Puppet to critique the ending to ME3.

And that triggered....

Unfortunate. For the Little Blue Children had become one of my favourite threads. Still, while definitely easier to vanish the thread than remove all offending pics in what, 161 pages or so. I do wonder that there's not a way to have made it a private group or something.

But people like to share, and people like to pop in to view when they feel like it. Making it a private group makes the 'share creative ventures' portion of the forum rather moot.

Really, BSN should make the forums private for game owners only, rather than limited posting rights for non-game owners. It's an adult game, so only adults will own it (if children do play this adult game, then that's their parents problem, not mine). Therefore, if the forums were limited to game owners only, there would only be adults who are able to intelligently see the difference between 'harmless' and 'insidious'. Would stop the potential of young minds seeing that which they are not supposed to see (by arbitrary ruling).

This is one of the general blights of the internet. There is no 'adult area' of the internet where adults can act as such, rather like when the breweries decided that pubs should be 'family friendly'.

I'm sure there are plenty of other places on the internet where you can drool over grossly oversexualized fictional characters to your heart's content.

Or, you could, of course, just play Mass Effect.

Sounds absolutely crazy, I know.

Still, though, getting rid of those threads was a poor choice. Like milk on a hot day.

I think getting rid of those threads was probably the best thing the mods have ever done next to shutting down the romance section. Especially since it keeps the creepers in the dark, deep recesses of the internet where they belong.

So you think....See my theory on that is those threads give those people a place to post.

Now you can expect those posts to start showing up all over the place in all sorts of other threads again.

And then watcha goin do?

This is the romance forums all over again.

Does anyone actually know what happened to the bumbum thread or are you all here to spout your opinion on it?

I've only been following it for a year and i'd just like to know. That's all.

What else would you call a quarian posed like a porn star while sticky, sticky oil was all over her body like something out a cheap porno?

And that's a minor one compared to the rest of the **** posted in that thread.

I was in most of that thread. I know what was there. It wasn't nearly even close to porn.

Nudes or it was removed for no reason.

And i know there weren't nudes last time i checked.

Nudity is not the only factor that makes something NSFW or pornographic

This waas the exact message the creator of the thread got :

Greetings Zimek,

Thank you for your participation in the
forums! However, we had to remove your thread "Jiggly Quarian BumBums"
due to some of the posts/images being a bit too risqué for some of our
younger viewers.

Please be sure to review the site rules & code of conduct http://social.biowar...-rules&popup=1.

Thank you,

Damn, the Quarian bumbum thread was great. Of course it had its share of creepy stuff, but there was some great artwork to find.

Yes, a great idea to remove the entire thread rather than the offending images.

Meanwhile, posts are being locked from over a year ago that were responded to/necro'd

If there's time enough to do that, there's time enough to target the actual offenders, not the people who were simply having a good time and following the rules.

Its gone, but really, all someone has to do is start a new one. And if an image shows up that is off the scale for someone, report it. If it is a singular, lunatic, prudish mind, one report shouldn't do much. If it is offensive to a lot of people, it'll probably be removed and the thread can go on.

When it is the entire thread, and not just a few images, it is beyond saving and just easier to nuke it.

Its gone, but really, all someone has to do is start a new one.

And it will be removed just like the last one.
