The reboot is being developed by Double Helix, which doesn't exactly have what one would call a good track record with making games.

Even with Rare apparently advising on the project, I would be a bit concerned about that.

I was excited until I noticed the lack of Rare. Rare deserves better than making a bunch of Kinect shovelware. Too bad their evil overlords have essentially destroyed them.

Not really but that's mainly because I haven't played a Killer Instinct game since the 1996, I no longer have any interest in beat em ups and also because the IP has been dormant for far too long.

The fact that it is F2P and only comes with ONE character is going to put off a lot of people. I bet it'd cost lest to pay $60 than to pay for every character. It sounds pretty stupid to me and it also seems the the company who made the game has nothing to do with it this time, we'll see what that means when it gets released.

That's a pretty weird system unless the combined cost of all characters at launch is the standard videogame cost for this gen. Except that as DLCs the price doesn't have to depreciate like a normal game...

It's pretty standard for a F2P game(although usually you can unlock some things with in-game currency that takes a considerably longer amount of time to get).

Most likely all characters will cost a good bit more than the cost of a standard game on the X1.

I think it looks great. The dynamic music used in the game is awesome too. I wish more games used dynamic music the way KI uses their music. You see, the music changes to slower or faster paced or even a completely different tune based on what's happening in the combat.

Epic! But aside from them obviously realizing music was important to a KI game, the gameplay looks great. I haven't played a fighter in awhile but this game makes me want to.

The Xbone is one of the biggest flops in gaming history. Best part is it has yet to be released

Never cared for fighting games personally, so no. This is not one of the reasons I'm looking forward to the Xbox One.
