Hi all. Just wondering if someone would want to test a new lite version of the transition from either MEHEM to CEM or JAM to CEM. Testing on my machine worked but before I release it I'd love for someone else to try it.

 

Simply download and unzip the contents of one of the files below into your DLC folder. Have JAM or MEHEM installed already. You don't even need CEM installed for this. So, if anybody has an autosave handy and could do a quick test that'd be great.

 

It's a test so the video is not what the final will be. It's just confirming that after the credits you will go directly to the Silversun Strip.

Got a few installers for JAM to CEM lite and MEHEM to CEM Lite up on the nexus. Transitions directly from the credits to the Silversun Strip now. Easy fix really; not sure how I missed it during initial creation.

Maybe it was asked before, but I did not find it:

 

If I want to change from 0.3 to 1.0 do I have to uninstall the 0.3? And how do I do it?

Yes, you do want to uninstall v0.3.

 

The installer for v0.3 (which can be used to uninstall) is available on Nexus if you don't have it handy. If you did the manual install, simply repair the Citadel DLC or replace the default.sfar files with your backups you may have.

I thought we only had to uninstall the files for CEM? At least that is what I did before switching to the latest version

with no issues.

EDIT: Actually, you uninstalled CEM. That sounds right. Then you installed v1.0 right with your appropriate "ending mod to CEM version?" If so, that's right.

Okay don't hit me. But with the full you can play the complete citadel dlc at the end of the game correct?

Correct. You'll need two installers.

 

1) CEM Full

2)"ending mod of your choice to CEM Full." For example, if you use MEHEM, you'll want MEHEM to CEM Full.

 

To confirm that they are installed, you should have these two folders in your DLC directory.

Ah yes. That part I should make more clear since you're probably not the only one having that question.

 

The mod can't actually go back in time on plot events. So, once something has happened, it's happened.

 

Now, you could still do the clone mission and still use it for all the meetups and the party at the end. That would be a hybrid that would actually require CEM Full and MEHEM to CEM Lite to be installed.

 

How much of the mod did you actually want to play before the end? Just the main clone mission?

This is only theory as I am not of technical variety, but is it possible to change her variable to match some of the characters who can die? For instance, kill Ashley or Tali in a file and use that data to remove EDI in another file. Alternatively, just remove the email prompt so EDI's Citadel activities never trigger. People can then headcanon her out.

Anywho, on the mod itself. I offer you and Mr. Fob this:

Didn't have that issue since only Cortez died. Everyone else was alive

The mod is not completely malleable. I would say, for what you're describing, do this.

Don't install anything CEM related.

Do the clone mission and any meetups you want to do

Start the Cronos mission (or just make sure you're done playing the Citadel DLC at a certain point)

Install "CEM Full" and "MEHEM to CEM Lite" (if you're using MEHEM)

That should work for whatever you're thinking of trying

Yes. Since you're playing some of the Citadel DLC and then you're going to do some of it afterwards (more than just the party) you'll want MEHEM to CEM Lite.

I guess I can't leave the mod alone. The full version got an update now as well. While 2 minor lines were changed, the big change was having the email from Hackett not show up until after the game is over. If you already have a game after the Cerberus coup attempt, it won't remove the email but at the same time, it doesn't break anything.

 

For those who are curious, the 2 line changes were simply EDI and someone on the strip saying the year "2187" with regards to the Blackout sky car. A minor issue but since I uploaded some new textures to fix the ads for the car, I figured I may as well fix the 2 lines.

You're welcome. Selfishly, the mod is what I wanted so when i tinker with it, it's self-serving. But it's fun to see others enjoy it.

 

Oh, I am probably the worst at releasing mods. I found that in the email from Hackett it said, "Commander Shepard," And the next line started with "Shepard" or "Commander" (I'm trying to forget it ever happened.) I'm still calling it v1.2 but for all 5 who downloaded it already, it's now the correct version. Not that it's a big deal which is why I didn't renumber it or anything. Sorry about that everyone.

 

And here's an example of how this new system works with Hackett's email showing up later.

I think you were doing some of the Citadel DLC already and then saving some of the meet-ups and the party for after. If that's true, in your case, do install the new CEM Full v1.2 but stick with the "End of your choice" to CEM Lite you already have (that too is v1.2 right now.)

 

Since you'll be using a version of Full, grab the new textures as well. That way the advert for the Blackout won't have 2187 on it and adverts for Sanctuary and "Joining the fight" will be replaced as well.

Meh after seeing the video I am gonna to try both full. I would rather do it all at the end. Only reason I was gonna do some early was because when I did at the end with the other version it was like Anderson was still alive. Just felt weird. But you fixed it. YAY!!

Oh, I got to ask, does this contain the Extended Final Anderson dialogue (or something-name)?

 

And if not, what do I do with those loose files to "make the second piece of music work with CEM" that comes with that mod, if you know?  :unsure:

 

 

Edit:  I haven't played this since after MEHEM and CEM came out, and am intent on restarting ME soon, so I can't recall if it was in there.  -_-

My mod doesn't have the Extended Final Anderson dialogue. That's a separate one from here and JohnP made the new "mod as DLC" installer for it so very handy.

If so, I'm pretty sure that's fixed now with the above link. Not positive if it's still needed but I think so.

 

If your question has to do with the music change during the goodbye scene in the Citadel DLC let me know.
