Heh heh heh... you said, "Orgy,' heheh...

Working on the installer update now. Will have it ready for Deager in less than an hour. I'm sure he'll then want to do a bit of testing, but should have it ready for you guys soon.

Thanks. Yeah, now that I fixed it and Wavion made a new installer, I'm pretty excited too. v0.2a just went live and I can't wait to get there with my current Shepard.

A big thanks to voteDC for pointing out the mistake so I could fix it quickly. Greatly appreciated!

And voteDC has found our first show-stopping issue. I know the file which is causing the problem, but I'm not sure yet how to fix it. I'll get on this asap. In the meantime, you can install the mod, but you can only use the Lite version of the installer which is just the party.

Thanks for the update.

Sorry for the late reply, work was something of a nightmare yesterday.

I know you've found the issue and I don't know if you'll still need my saves but they're yours if you still need them.

Alrighty, decided to give it a whirl, and can report that skipping the otherwise awkward Anderson-call worked flawlessly.

Now, what I think would need some adjustment is the letter sent by Admiral Hackett that starts the DLC. It's quite non-specific and works for the most part, although some reference to the end of the war and reconstruction being done in that part of the Citadel would fit nicely, me thinks.

Further, tense needs readjusting for the reference to Anderson's apartment - says 'Anderson has an apartment there', and with Anderson KIA...- and a reason would need to be given why Hackett sends Shepard there. Part of Anderson's will, perhaps.

I'll report more as I progress, but so far, I've got to say I like it quite a bit.

Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming. I'm compiling a list for clean up or just plain improving for the next release. Also, it will be good to have someone else playing v0.2a to confirm that they don't get stuck in the apartment loop after the car lot.

Thanks. Have you been able to succesfully play the entire mod through or did you perhaps opt for the Lite install?

Just finished the 'mission' of Citadel, and did not find any game-breaking issues on my end (except for my insanely imbalanced adjustments to skills, but then a true shockwave-tillery is just too much fun).

Overall, really nice. Given the minimal changes needed to skip direct references to the Reaper-invasion in progress, one is indeed left to wonder why BW didn't just go ahead and make this the epilogue it was meant to be themselves.

Thanks for the news. voteDC was also able to get through the previous glitch. v0.2a should be just fine then. And I agree on imbalanced adjustments. Too much fun in general.

As for why BW didn't do this...I thought this the day of the release. I actually played it through twice that first night and on the second play through I already was realizing how little Reaper stuff was in there. I suppose they didn't want to officially change the endings or shoehorn the story into a high EMS, destroy ending.

Luckily for us they threw such a huge, fan service bone that we were able to make it what we wanted. The "something big" comment I made before v0.2 had to do with skipping entire scenes. I had already edited all the offending main mission lines but by accident discovered I could easily skip them. Didn't upset me a bit because at that moment I knew this mod could really work.

Any other bad lines, emails, or just terrible lip syncs, just let me know. The more people who critique it the better it can be.

Just finished the party. Great job. I played the citadel DLC as epilogue before, but only now it feels right. I did not find any reaper mentions in my playtrough, so I guess the congrats are in order :-).
Keep up the good job

I wonder whether it is feasible to make the game launch the DLC after finishing the game. Have you or mr.Fob looked into it? (I doubt it is, but I just want to know)

Thanks. Glad to hear it's working for you and others as advertised.

I have asked MrFob about an automatic Citadel DLC launch and he summed it up as, "Anyway, that's going to be complicated." So, not impossible but even for him it's not going to be easy. That said, if he figures it out with MEHEM, then we may be able to get the original destroy ending to work.

Which has me thinking. I know some people like the destory ending and then want to party or now, perhaps, play the entire Citadel DLC with the mod. I wonder if a simple switch where EDI is present during the memorial and having the game dump people into the apartment would be worthwhile. That said, I'm a novice at all this so I'm pretty sure I won't be capable of it.

This looks very nice, but, you changed some of the dialogues, so, the chracters will move their mouths and say things or it will be only trough the subtitles?

Sections with rather explicit references to the on-going Reap-hurr invasion and such that would not make sense - e.g. Anderson chiming in upon entering the apartment, which doesn't fit epilogue-material due to the man being KIA by then - are bypassed entirely.

I have only played the 'mission'-content thus far, and what is skipped aside from Anderson at its beginning is Joker's 'duh, no surprise someone wants the commander dead'-remark in the restaurant. Didn't really find anything awkward there (moreso with the original content, really).

Hey, really excited to see this mod. I haven't had a chance to play it yet. I'm doing an entire trilogy + MEHEM + this mod but I've got a ways to go yet. One thing that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere so I don't know if you've thought of it yet, or if it's even possible to address:

If you play the Armax Arsenal Arena, you start getting "quests" with folks messaging you asking you to accomplish certain goals. Many of these explicitly mention the reaper war in present-tense.

Just my two cents. Really inspiring to see people working to make the game we all wanted.

It's a combination of cutting out scenes and editing audio and subtitles. Chashan is correct and I mostly cut offending scenes in the 'mission' but there are a few lines tweaked as well. Basically, this new example vid should clear it up.

While I didn't read every line in the two tlk files I had to edit, I did word searches for Reaper, Cerberus, and war. Plus anything else I found while skimming. The video link above shows an email example. If you do find any emails or other areas I missed, please let me know.

I forgot to mention, i've never played the Citadel DLC, i played ME1 and 2 again to get to 3 and see the Leviathan and Omega and the Citadel that i bought. So, should i play the Citadel vanilla or should i use this mod? I'm planning to use the MEHEM, even with the EC i don't like the final.

Your call on how you want to use this mod.. There are two options.

You can install the Lite (party only) version and then play the Citadel DLC during the game but just don't throw the party when the option comes up. You can go ahead and meet your friends in the meantime though. Finish the game, in this case with MEHEM. After that, throw the party in the apartment and you can even leave the Silversun Strip to see the end of the DLC.

If you install the Full (entire DLC) version you would do the follwoing. Don't visit the apartment until the game is over. It's ok to open the email from Hackett about shore leave but just don't visit the apartment yet. Finish the game. Fly back to the Citadel and then play the Citadel DLC as an epilogue.

Personally, I like the entire Citadel DLC as an epilogue, so on my current trilogy run I'll play the entire DLC after the end of the game.

Perhaps I'm too quick to judge, but some of the dialogue removal is a bit awkward. I can understand not talking about the war a lot now that it's over, and the team can finally cool their heels, but those aren't experiences one can just bury. Now given that I haven't actually played this mod yet, maybe I just missed one of those passing references.

My other opinion, in conjunction with the one on top, is that if one were to play this right after the end, you'd think Shepard would be a bit more cautious. Removing Joker's response to the line about people wanting Shepard dead in that instance seems rather awkward. For all they know, Balak survived the war and decided to put Shepard's head on a plate to spur on a revival of the Batarian Rebellion, or maybe Corporal Toombs decided to carry out the threat he sent a Spacer Shepard back in ME2.

Just my two cents, there. Overall, I appreciate the effort you've put into this, for the people who wanted an epilogue of this nature.

Good observations. I only focused on removing present tense comments on Reapers, Cerberus, and the war effort. You'll still hear people talking about fighting when you walk the strip. The ending of the DLC is largely the same; so it still has that feeling of work left to do for Shepard. It just doesn't have the inevitable death vibe to it.

In the case of Joker's line, it wasn't removed because I had a problem with him saying, "Yeah....I think she's aware of that," in response to Brooks saying people were trying to kill Shepard. It was really removed because the next line Brooks said had to be cut due to Reapers and Cerberus talk and the following line I used didn't make a lot of sense in response to Joker. So, basically, I just ran two lines in a row for her to have the conversation flow better.

Brooks was a problem in this whole thing. She's a ew character; so not a lot of data to use and she liked to talk about the Illusive Man being alive and Cerberus and all that. Once I realized I could edit scenes out, I didn't really want to chop up the DLC too much, but given the lack of dialogue for Brooks I had to make some decisions. All conversations should still make sense though. But, feedback from all of you is always good.

Heck, Cerberus being around was another debate I had with people. Do we go with Hackett saying they're done or do we go with the Illusive Man saying Cerberus is an idea and not easily destroyed? In the end, I decided to write them off because a lack of them should be less jarring than having them in and people not digging it.

Please keep the feedback coming, especially if you try the mod out sometime. I'd love to have it as polished as possible for everyone.

That question has been haunting me ever since MEHEM's debut; I always wondered that even if the organization was gone, would any potential stragglers still pose a threat? (Such as that Director from the iPad game, Mass Effect: Infiltrator) I'll probably write a fan-fic about that...

One other thing, the scene with Kaidan cooking at the apartment...did you cut the scene with Shepard watching the T.V. and the comment about being taken out by dinner because the vid sequence couldn't be altered, or because Shepard was referring to the Reaper experiences in the present tense?

Deager wrote...

I will when I can, but probably will wait until the release of MEHEM 0.4.

Probably "ew" with Brooks. She was making my job very difficult. :)

For the Kaidan scene, it's only because I couldn't change the vid of the Reapers. Now...I debated on that one for a bit. Such as...would they be showing old footage or something. Anyway, I thought it safest to remove the scene. Which of course, cut a good line out so if I do figure out how to change it, say, with a Basto vid, or if I learn how to control the camera somehow, then I'll do it that way instead.

I couldn't wait for MEHEM v0.4. I literally just finished the game. Freak'n awesome. Now on to the Citadel DLC.

edit: Probably the best way to sum this up is I changed under 100 lines in the entire DLC and there are at over 12,000 sound files, of which at least 4,000 appear to be lines. Yup, I listened to every line. So, it plays pretty much the same as before, just like an epilogue instead.
