For the Kaidan scene, it's only because I couldn't change the vid of the Reapers. Now...I debated on that one for a bit. Such as...would they be showing old footage or something. Anyway, I thought it safest to remove the scene. Which of course, cut a good line out so if I do figure out how to change it, say, with a Basto vid, or if I learn how to control the camera somehow, then I'll do it that way instead.

Ha, if you managed to do that, it should be footage from the take that Shepard and Javik were tricked into participating in, though I imagine that might be even more complicated due to having to implement conditional triggers. Oh well, I can always headcanon that part.

Just finished the party. Great job. I played the citadel DLC as epilogue before, but only now it feels right. I did not find any reaper mentions in my playtrough, so I guess the congrats are in order :-).
Keep up the good job

I wonder whether it is feasible to make the game launch the DLC after finishing the game. Have you or mr.Fob looked into it? (I doubt it is, but I just want to know)

It's obvious as you say it why Citadel DLC exists.  BW couldn't fully ever admit that this is more what a lot of people wanted as an epilog but since it's the last content released for ME3, it really is an epilog.

With this mod the OP created something that makes it totally work for that purpose and I want to say thanks again for that.

I'm glad you'll like it. I'm playing the mod for the first time since I made it. Just finished a trilogy run and I have to say...this is exactly what I wanted the Citadel DLC to be. Glad you and a few others enjoy it.

I still am not cross with Bioware on this whole ending business. I didn't like the endings, but I get what they were trying to do.

On the plus side, I extracted ~12,000 lines for the Citadel DLC. Some of that is grunts and yelling during fighting. Maybe 4K to 6K of lines that counted and only ~90 were needing to be fixed or cut. They gave me a chance by releasing this DLC and I am thankful Bioware gave me a chance.

Whoops. My browser didn't refresh. Great, double post on my own forum. Well played me. May as well write a question to those who like the mod.

If I can do it, would anybody prefer a more upbeat song during the goodbye at the end? Or, are you all pretty happy with it as it is?

Not too sure. On the one hand, I like the tears the vanilla music brings to my eyes, on the other hand, if you can get the ending music from Mass Effect 1 to somehow work in this instance... (the music played during after the battle aftermath, when Shepard walks out to 'find a way to stop the Reapers' before the credits roll)

Just finished, it was very nice, only the last part was kinda weird, Liara saying ''we have work to do'' or something like that.

But, i'ts ok i think, i was RP the Citadel DLC as 6 months after the ending with the MEHEM, so they have to rebuild things and all that. it's fine i think.

Tyvm for the mod, maybe i will try again with a femshep, i would like to try without the mod, but for me it doens't make sense to play this DLC during the war and all that, not that i'm complaining, it is so good to have more content for ME.

I still need to see some scenes from the DLC, i think it depends what kind of style to you choose for the party:

energetic or more easy/laid back.

As for "work to do" and those types of lines; that's exactly what I thought too. There are things to rebuild yet.

Glad you enjoyed it. I know you used the mod for your first Citadel DLC run so it's an unkown. I can't play the Citadel DLC during the game anymore myself; just doesn't make sense tone wise. But if you try another character you could try without the mod and see what you think. It's like how some people like MEHEM and some people don't care for it.

There is a lot of content in the DLC so have fun exploring.

Stop reading if you want no spoilers, no matter how minor.....

I have what I think is a small problem. I have never played the Citadel DLC without this mod, or I should say I have never attempted to.

Now when I visit the apartment I get asked to go to the sushi restaurant. I do that, go through the events that end with being picked up by Joker in the shuttle.

Then I am put back in the apartment where I am apparently stuck. Having never played the dlc without the mod, I don't know what is really supposed to happen at this point. I get the impression that this isn't the end of the dlc, however for me it is the end of the game except to reload some save before going to the apartment.

It looks like from reading this thread I should reload a previous save anyway and go ahead and finish the game (I saved it until just before Cerberus base.)

Sorry about that. You want v0.2a of the mod. About 27 people downloaded it before I knew about the problem with v0.2.

Unfortunately, once the trigger was missed, you have to restart the DLC. That said, any save after thessia would get the job done. Just load up a save, open the email from Hackett, and start the DLC without having to replay the end. So, your save just before the Cerberus base should work just fine.

The only concern I had was a few lines with Cortez and some more with Traynor seem to be triggered based on at what point you are along on the main story. I'm pretty sure all the lines will be fine once you have a save past Thessia to use. That's something I intend to fully test before another release.

Thank you. 0.2a worked. I had to stop playing I was laughing too hard. Need to wipe face.

Just a note of agreement.  It really does look like Citadel DLC fits in some time after the events of the reaper invasion.

I have to ask, did I miss something on the "fancy outfit" at the beginning?  I see videos with shepherd wearing something fancy but not when I play.

Maybe, I never played Citadel DLC without this mod. Shepard just wears whatever the casual wear selection is that was selected in the cabin. Which always looks strange when they make it look like he's getting out of the car at some star studded gala and he's just wearing a jacket and jeans.

I'm guessing the gala is Khan's party. I didn't do anything to that pcc file so the mod shouldn't be causing any issue. But if that's the scene, it is pretty odd you're in your casual outfit for some reason. Any other mods or .bin tweaks?

No, I was wearing the black tie outfit (though I don't recall an actual black tie).  The one I am talking about is during the arrival to the sushi bar and subsequent flying car lot shootout where the shipmate says "nice outfit".  Which always seemed an odd thing to say since its just my casual suit.  Then I saw some youtube videos and everyone is wearing either a dress and necklace (female shepards) or what looks like an officer's mess dress for male shepards).

I put no blame on the mod.  It is likely just my ignorance of how things work when not modded in this case.

One question.  You can truly play this after the end of the game, you don't have to start it before the Cerberus base->London sequence?  It really does fit in best when done after the war is over (which I think was your intent).

Oh that line at the car park. Yeah, I've never understood that one since I don't tend to run around in a dress in the game. But, as you saw on youtube, many people must, at least when being filmed.

You can play it after the game, sort of. When the game finishes you are thrown into a save just before invading TIM base. You can either fly the ship back from there to start the Citadel DLC or a save you may have done earlier. I did a little testing and probably the best way to do this is make a save after Priority:Horizon while in your ship waiting to dock at the citadel. Finish the game and then fire up that save to start the Citadel DLC.

I would love to get the end credits to dump people into the apartment but it looks to be quite difficult. Who knows though.

I always assumed the "nice outfit" is because at this oint SHepard's supposed to be soaking wet, having recently crashed through an aquarium,

I mean, regardless of what outfit Shepard's wearing, he or she is gonna look prety ridiculous squelching around, dripping water everywhere, possibly with a trout in a pocket...:D

Thank you for making this amazing mod.  I absolutely love it.  MEHEM + This one = awesomeness.  The only thing that needs some editing is the subtitles.  I found 3 minor text errors when playing this mod.  The 1st one is the interview between khalisah al-jilani and Anderson (when you turn the T.V. on anderson's apartment).  The 2nd and 3rd text errors can be found during Miranda's conversation with Shepard (The apartment scene and the casino bar scene).

Since I considered this DLC as an epilogue, there's a conversation between my LI (Kaidan) and my Maleshep that kinda ruins the epilogue illusion.  It's on the last part where everyone is looking at the Normandy.  Kaidan is saying that Shepard will win this war and he will wait for him.  If this happens after the war, then should they have already won the war?

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping this mod would be worth sharing.

Thanks for letting me know about the text errors. It appears when I edit the file in Notepad++ or that simply during the tlk extraction, that some special characters or punctuation in a row like a "..." can get messed up. I'll fix those and any others people find for the next release. Ugh, this isn't going to be fun to figure out though. EDIT: Actually, it looks like it won't be too bad since the bogus syntax is pretty easy to find. I may have it fixed already for the next release.

Another positive with you pointing out the ANN subtitle issue is I don't like all the phrasing from the al-jilani interview with regards to time and even the war so I'll be cleaning that up as well. EDIT: Already fixed for the next release.

As far as I can tell, the line Kaidan says should be "Ah, Shepard. You... you will find a way to win. I know it. And when you do, I'll be waiting." Now, I'm not saying I'm a fan of the whole "find a way to win." And I'd have to change 3 or 4 character's lines for that last, iconic scene to get rid of that "win" stuff. That said, it's something I'll look into for the next release as well. I also reason that Shep and crew are still pretty busy with things in the universe so I'm not completely upset about the "win" stuff, but I agree, it's also not ideal.

Anybody have a Thane romance save I can use for testing? I need to check something I'm editing and would prefer to have a legit save file as opposed to one that's been edited for a Thane romance. Thanks.

Any point is fine. As long as he was romanced and no other LI replaced him, that's the key. If you happen to have a save after the Cerberus Coup I can work with it. I'll PM you. Thanks!

FYI: It looks like I'm going to be able to clean that bit up for the all the various LIs. Stay tuned for the next version.

I have a save or saves  from the last time I played ME3 earlier this year.  All are Miranda romanced. Although I completed the game with the Happy Ending Mod 0.3 installed, would that matter? probably a dumb question, i'm not to computer savvy, thank goodness for wavion's installer. ;)
