Downloading the latest MEHEM and now gonna try this as an epilogue. Do I have to do a special save or will it work with MEHEM to go into this afterwards? Thanks and happy modding.
I would recommend having a save from after Priority:Horizon is completed with the Normandy in space outside the Citadel lined up and ready to go. When you finish the game with MEHEM, just fire up that save, open the email from Hackett and give it a shot. This is assuming you want to use the Full install. Otherwise, just have a save in the apartment ready to go for the party if you'd prefer.
As a side note: it might be possible for Mr Fob to get a auto-load from the end of MEHEM into the apartment but it'll be a separate download in the future.

Thanks, I'm doing the full install per save as you suggested until a more seamless method is designed - thanks for the mod!

The Citadel should "lore"-wise be all smashed up inside as seen in the slides of the MEHEM.
Why would everything be all fixed all of a sudden? And why would I want to load a save after the game is finished to play this before the MEHEM? I mean....I would have to go to a long stretch just to "imagine" in the fantasywold of my twisted mind that this is actually going on AFTER the ending of the game....while it is actually going on before the ending.....weird solution.
Don't get me wrong, I will still try it out. I just think it's a bit "not-thought-through" properly.
I don't want to have to use my own imagination that it is going on after the ending of the game when it is actually, in real life, going on before the ending?
Then I might as well just play it before the Priority Earth....because thats what I will do in which case ever...you see? Stupd.
You should've looked at some way to integrate this with the MEHEM instead. Would have made a lot more sense gameplay wise. Because, like I said, the Citadel would be all smashed up inside after the beam.

Thing is, Deager mentioned that would be a desired goal in the end in collaboration with Fob, but it's not there yet.
Given the nature of the DLC; I'd rather have it relocated to post-war times with the Citadel rebuilt - the sections of it that Shepards visit at least. And the references to the Reaper-war, which seemed rather tacked-on to begin with, are better off removed, which Deager's project achieves just fine. Going to the Citadel by way of the galaxy-map I, for one, can dismiss as an interface-necessity, and if you so wish to have the couple items gained on Cronos available you can add them via Coalesced save-editor.
You could argue about the cutscenes showing the immediate space around the Citadel being somewhat out-of-place, of course. Two explanations that come to mind here for the quite unique background that is the Serpent Nebula:
1) a decision was reached to move the Citadel back to its original location, and in fact done by the time Shepards are recalled there
2) the Citadel remains in orbit close to Earth, but the 'nebula', in this case, is in fact exhaust from the station
All things told, I can better accomodate the DLC like this rather than having it smack-dab in the middle of the plot, as per the original.

Thanks for summing things up.
@Yoshimurha
The reason I did the Citadel Epilogue Mod was because I found the Citadel DLC to be out-of-context with the war going on; but it made more sense to me after the reaper invasion was over. Since EDI is alive it pretty much only makes sense with MEHEM.
As for the Citadel being smashed up; if you play the full version of the mod, I view this as years after the end of MEHEM. Hackett talks about rebuilding everything and I think they have a slide of the citadel repaired in the slides of the EC anyway.
If it's ever possible to have MEHEM dump from the ending credits into the apartment that would be great. But I know it's not going to be easy since MrFob isn't even sure it's possible.

Yup, they do show a slide of the Citadel repaired. I love the Citadel DLC, but it does seem out-of-place in the middle of a war, so as an epilogue makes more sense to me. Still working my way through the game to trying this out and seeing the v.4 of MEHEM, will offer feedback when I'm done - um, though I considering the title of this thread you're done with this mod, lol. Cheers!

Heh. Well, I did want people to know there was no reason to not download it. But, if enough people pointed out something that needs fixing or improving, I'm not opposed to another release.

Well one playthrough with the full install and I really enjoyed it as an epilogue. The only immersion-breaking dialogue I ran into was when I was infiltrating the casino and you have to "mingle" with guests and I ran into a gentleman who was having financial difficulties because the Reapers were currently blasting his helium 3 facilities. Great mod!

That one fellow upstairs during the 'infiltration'-mission?
I don't remember him expressly mentioning Reapers, rather the mere fact his properties are getting trashed by nobody specific - in the case of the base-game undoubtedly the Reapers, but post-war? Terrorists, pirates, sabotage by competition, etc. Although I could be wrong.

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I did take the angle that Chashan metioned which was that it could be someone else destroying his facilities. Not saying that's always going to resonate with people or that it was necessarily the correct choice, but that's what I had done.
In any case, I'm glad only one line made you think twice and thanks for writing. Also, if my research was incomplete on this helium-3 stuff (I only went here to read up on it) then I don't mind push-back at all. It's about the mod.

Go ahead, download, and install. MEHEM and CEM work with different files so install order doesn't matter. Even if later MrFob can get MEHEM to dump into CEM, it'll be a separate download people can install last.

this is great, but how does it deal with the comm from anderson at the beggining of the dlc? does it remove it? because if you play it after Mehem, /SPOILERS Anderson is dead at that point
Fortunately I was able to skip that comm from Anderson and get you straight into the apartment. If you want, give the mod a shot and see what you think.

Oh wow, I just found this through a banner link. I always had just ignored all the reaper war talk because I didn't think this kind of mod was possible. Thanks so much.
You're welcome. I hope you enjoy it.
Yeah, getting the word out is kind of a problem for a mod that's 6 months after the DLC and 18 months after the main game. Glad you found it though.

Thanks. It's a niche mod to be sure but basically if people throw a party or play the Citadel DLC as their ending already...this mod is for them.

Thanks for taking the time to write. As for the Citadel being heavily damaged; big time! But they also show it repaired in the Extended Cut. I'm sure things are out of order in that I doubt the Citadel was repaired before the crew had their memorial, but that's the order they show it in the game.
Since I view the Citadel Epilogue Mod years later, I see no problem with the Citadel being repaired. I even edited the few lines there were about 3 years or 6 months to make sure it would work.

I was wondering, i just finished my pt with MEHEM & then, i'm back at chronos station, is that the way it works? I load citadel from that save?(i didn't visited the appartement yet)
Hey Roi, from the OP it looks like you make a save just before Horizon, then finish the game, load up said save and then jump into Citadel DLC. If you didn't make a save I think you can just fly to the Citadel but you may need to dodge Reapers on the way killing the illusion a bit.
... The best way to use the mod is to finish Priority: Horizon. Then fly the Normandy to the Citadel. Don't dock, just save the game there in space. When the game is over, fire up that save. This way you don't see the reapers in space to get back to the Citadel, which kills the illusion a bit. By using a save after Priority: Horizon, all conditions should be met to make the mod work properly...
