I know I said v0.3 was it but really, I cannot think of anything else I really can do with the mod. Only 2 little things didn't make the mod and they're minor so I'm calling this done. Enjoy.

 

Well, you done something all of us here (and no doubt a lot more people never posting here) very much appreciate, so thank you for doing it.  :)

 

If I may ask, though, will you still check about the chances of getting an installer?  :wizard:

Very high. I'd say about as close to a guarantee as I can humanly do. I've never made the installer but if the person who helped in the past isn't able to, I'll learn how and/or get help from others. I know the installer is fairly critical for most people to use this mod.

Yup, just download both CEM (version of your choice) and the MEHEM to CEM matching zip file. I tested a bunch and it should be good to go.

Just had a look at the transition from credits to the apartment. I can report that it worked well on my end, minor edits to EC-.pcc included. Some will undoubtedly view it as a bonus that the Stargazer-scene is skipped.

 

Having said that: how well does this go along with the couple additions that add Ms Naught and Ms Lawson to the memorial? If I am not mistaken, that affected one or both of following couple files included in your manual package: BioD_End002_720MemorialBlue.pcc and BioD_End002_730MemorialGreen.pcc.

Thanks for confirming that it works. I hate testing alone and get a little nervous with releases.

 

I knew with a lot of mods that things like this would come up, or in this case, already existed as an issue. I see the BioD_End002_730MemorialGreen.pcc is one that the Additional LI mod uses. So correct, I would have to edit that pcc file and upload it as an optional download for people. I'll do that later...well, maybe today, otherwise later this week, so people can use that too. Man, the CEM page on Nexus will get seriously wordy soon. :)

 

EDIT: I'm working from home today and over lunch break was able to create a full and lite version of those files for JohnP's additional LI mod. I have a Shep which I can use to test the Full version. If it works out I'll post them both as the only difference between to any lite and full version is the plot file they reference.

 

And....this may take a bit to figure out. Various problems during the epilogue with Hackett and then a crash where the game thought Shepard died. Not the best way to end the game.

 

No problem it seems. I tested the full version and it works. I uploaded the full and lite as a combined optional file. Thanks for the reminder Chashan.

Oh please. I can point you to several pages on SkyrimNexus that make your mod's description looks like a footnote ;)

 

Thanks for all the hard work. I need to finish my newly non-canon KotOR 2 game and do a Mass Effect playthough.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't find any End004.bik file in the CEM v1 Full zip. The Mass Effect 3 subfolder contains only the DLL files but nothing else. Did you forget it or did I miss something ?

I was a little worried separating the files out but, you should see a file for MEHEM to CEM v1 Full. Grab that as well. That will have the End004.bik file and a few others you need.

It's a bit weird since the file is mentioned in the "CEM v1 Full-2-v1"'s readme, but is packaged only in the "MEHEM to CEM v1 Full-2-v1" archive. Not a big deal though.

Hmmmm. Sounds like I need to repackage that bugger to fix any confusion.

Well just finished another run and this mod made the ending just about perfect. Thanks for your hard work Deager and all involved. Let's you end a rather serious series on a well-deserved light note.

OK so I've just finished the game and I have to say the transition from MEHEM's end to Citadel was great. It felt like it was part of the actual game. I haven't played the Citadel DLC yet though ; it's 3:12 AM and I'll play tomorrow. Just wanted to say that so far, the mod works perfectly.

hi all not checked this thread out since V0.2 so have to aske will the linking mod work with V0.3 I ask becuse it has an installer. all the same I'm glad you have kepped this going loved V0.2 and it's about time for another plat through.

MEHEM to CEM will work with any version of CEM. Granted, it's a manual install but not too many files.

 

If you've backed up your files and/or you have a decent internet connection, you might want to try installing CEM v1. If you can get MEHEM to CEM installed then you can do it. The only difference is there are more files to CEM. In a way, CEM is easier than MEHEM to CEM because you don't mess with any main game files.

I've got an idea I'd like to run by you, Deager. In the spirit of "epilogue" wouldn't it be cool to be able to coast around the galaxy map and read updated planet descriptions of a post-war world? It may not be feasible, but it would be cool. Got the idea when I was leaving the Geth war area and reading the description of Rannoch. The description didn't reflect the results of the end of the geth-quarian conflict and that kinda bugged me.

Right. I can't imagine I could pull that one off since replacing the file which controls that...yeah. I love the idea but we'll stick with exiting to the main menu.

 

On a different front, thanks to JohnP, a nearly foolproof installer may be coming soon. I'll be working on testing next week.

I was just reading on the me3explorer forum that JohnP research has made it possible for mods that don't have to "replace" or "edit" existing files and this reminds me of earlier research by WV that did the same thing. Is ME3 modding moving into new territory where you can add new video slides and other content instead of having to use existing, seldom used, files? I'm not a coder or a modder, it's just the general impressions I'm picking up from reading stuff like this.

That's cool, was wondering more about the modding direction rather than trying to push you into more modding, sorry if I came across like that. I hope the JohnP method works and look forward to any more modding you feel like doing in the future.
