Actually that's exactly what racism is.

Racism has a natural basis in primal human psychology (it can be observed in small babies, who show clear 'preference' for people of the same genetic phenotype as their imprinted mother) where we prefer those who are similar and are afraid of those who are different.

That doesn't make it okay in a modern, developed society.

Didn't she say she doesn't trust them?

Yea, when you first talk to her. But towards the end of the game you can change her opinion about them because she's ignorant about it

And the next games (ME3 mostly) she doesn't act like that anymore

But it did turn out that she was right when talking about politics lol

I would've done the same thing, I don't know who these people are to trust them with our military technology

She says we don't need aliens because she feels Humanity needs to prove that they can handle things on their own

Once again the line "I can't tell the aliens from the animals" has been confirmed to be bugged comment about the Keepers, which can be considered legit

Not necessarily. 

A politically liberal constructivist such as myself wants to actually merge all the militaries into one. A one galaxy government if you will. It will be more of a federal style of government, with both the central government and the subsidiary/provincial states having power. Get all the species cooperating under one banner. The Council is just a powers game, they're inept.
 
I'm against the idea of the relative gains that Ashley espouses. It's one reason why I can't stand her. That and I would call her an ignorant speciesist with slightly xenophobic tendencies. I'm not a fan of the realist perspective.

No I get it, the intercom flirting bugged me too. I would have liked a 'what's up bro?' conversation with Garrus. But as long as Tali is locked in, it's pretty harmless. They say more risque stuff if they are both single.

edit - just reread your post. dude, if Tali is single you can't deny brother Garrus' chance with perfection. It's your fault for not choosing the clear best option for dudeshep.
