Maybe I misread. I'm just talking about having a crush. There is nothing scary about what I'm trying to say. Everyone as a teenager has a girl or guy they go a little crazy about (again, in the crush sort of way. Not psychotic sh!t).

I still don't understand the fictional obsession though. I'm not all that... prone to imagination. I let other people imagine things for me, for the most part.

Liara isn't indifferent to you at all--especially if you know the circumstances of Shepard's death, and who retrieved him.

Ah, 11-13, when we boys discover, in the words of the best groundskeeper ever.

Everyone goes through that as a teenager.
But even that's worth laughing about. You grow out of it eventually (you're 18? I'm almost twice your age. Take my word for it). I don't even know what to think about fictional obsession though.

My first and only crush was when I was 16 and wow! If I told you how many times I drove by her house ... stalker!

But it passes and your heartaches become less painful. There is a line in A Streetcar Named Desire that I always loved ... "I hurt him the way that you would like to hurt me, but you can't! I'm not young and vulnerable anymore."
I would not make fun of people posting on here since we all are posting on here. It makes me think of a bunch of nerds trying to make fun of other nerds just to feel less ... nerdy. Image IPB
"Hi, I'm PMC65 ... and I'm a nerd."

Funny thing is, I was never a nerd, heck I still go to the gym three times per week since 4 years and have a girlfriend. But when I started playing Mass Effect it kinda changed, I feel kinda awkward now:unsure:

Well, when I was 16 I had a long-distance relationship with a hot Polish girl I met on a vacation. But that's it really for awkward puppy love relationships.

Because these things dictate whether or not you're a nerd. Right.

That's true. We are all on this forum, and there's so much arguing and tension between people sometimes. It takes away the fun for others.

And I don't know the circumstances, but maybe that girl could've used a nice nerdy boyfriend. =] Unless I'm completely wrong.

And really, only one? I've had about 30 crushes, not being dramatic. Around half of them were fictional, the other half real girls I met, and only one involved actual dating.

It was for the best ... I just didn't know it at the time. Image IPB

And just ignore the negative and as they say in Poltergeist ... stay in the light, Carol Anne.

I'm a geek. Not a nerd. My own definition is that nerds are geeks who are smarter. While dorks are still a bad thing. Also, I like to consider myself simply "off the grid" (socially and physically). My friends don't actually like me geeking out with games like this, but that's their problem. Having a social life is overrated.

Yes, social life pretty much dictates if you're a nerd or not.

I never, ever talk to friends about anything Mass Effect or video game related. I just let everything out here:D

If passionate reactions to trivial games made someone a geek, nerd, or whatever, then sports fans would really have something to worry about.

1. No it doesn't.

2. Last I checked, there were more facets to "having a social life" than just going to the gym and having a girlfriend, especially considering that neither of those are indicative of having a social life.

"Going to the gym and having a girlfriend" sounds like something an intellectually challenged "cool kid" would tell me. The kind of person who scrapes through high school and ends up killing themselves because they realize that popularity doesn't win them through real life.

Oh my god, this. this. This. Like, I used to have no social life. I mean, I had like, 3 friends in my freshman year of Highschool(I recently graduated), but it was a school where everyone was friends with everyone, or at least had like, 30 friends. So I was kinda the quiet freak, not that the stuff I said didn't help.

The friends I made are mostly from work. Most of my friends, like, I consider best friends. Maybe it's that the people that like me have to know me well enough and see my good side, not to brag.

But it's like, I was already kinda used to spending 8 hours playing video games by myself and never getting texts from anyone. And now it's like, everyone wants me to come over or go see a movie. And it's good sometimes, but too much, is like, I'm just really not the type for that.
