In the new sci vs fi video, we hear Thane say "This was to be my last mission, I'm dying." And through Devs, we know he is romancable. How do people feel about romancing a dead man walking? If you weren't planning to in the first place, this isn't for you to bash the choice. lol Also, what do people think about this statement? Is he sick? Or could it be something else?

I think it would be interesting if he was sick, or had some sort of illness. Maybe this will add more to his character, or maybe it means absolutely nothing. You never know.

I will speed him on his way. With a bullet to his fishy brain.
If there's a quest to heal him, I will never take it. Well, perhaps once just to see how it goes. But that will be my Suicide Shep. If I even end up getting the game.

He's dying because he's not in the fish tank! Quick put him back! >.>
That's kind of sad. I'm rather looking forward to fighting with Thane.

I sense a personal quest coming.
Though, they did mention that not all personal quests end well. Perhaps this might be one of them.
Oh well, I'm sure he won't be the only sacrifice.
By the way, where was it confirmed that he's a romance option?

For females, yes. They confirmed Thane in the Best Buy Q&A.

Maybe he's dieing emotionally/mentally, rather than physically. We know he has issues with his line of work, so maybe continuing to be an assassin is killing the good in him.

I actually find him a little less interesting now. The whole 'I'm dying so I have to atone for the wrongs I've done." thing is pretty cliche. Hopefully this will not be the crux of his storyline.

I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be a SUICIDE MISSION! I would not be suprised if everyone in the party can die.

He maybe reaching the end of his life cycle. Like how humans when they get old enough they just croak from their body no longer being able to maintain life.

Maybe there is a side mission for a cure, etc. Who knows. Should be quite interesting.

Does this mean finding the cure with Mordin could be for Thane? That would be... disappointing.
