Might as well repost this since the other thread got... not good, and I can't find any other reposts around here.

This thread is going to assume you know the basics of using Gibbed's Coalesced Editing tool, but if you want an easier to use visual editor, you can find one here:

http://wenchy.net/me...lesced-utility/

Note: Always back up your Coalesced file before trying to modify it.

Talon Keybinding Fix

Once you have the Coalesced.bin file opened, you'll want to goto bioinput.ini -> sfxgame -> sfxgamemodedefault  -> bindings. In there you'll find most of the default keybindings in entries that look like this:

( Name="SpaceBar", Command="Shared_Action" )

What you'll need to do is change the name field over to the key that you want to use. Do not change the Command field, as that tells the game what action the key is bound to.

There are some additional keybinds in 00000409 -> localized bindings. If you want to change any of these(Melee is in there), you'll need to copy and paste the entire entry into the regular bindings section with all the other entries, and then change the name over to the keybind that you want.

If you want multiple keybinds for the same action, then copy and paste the entire entry into the bindings section as a second entry and change the name to your second keybind(you can do more than two, but it will begin overwriting them).[

Random note: There is an entire list of keybinds available in biogame.ini -> sfxgame -> sfxgamemodemanager -> keynames.

Talon Thermal Clip Pack Fix

There is another issue where if you take Cain Mines, Concussive Arrows, and Armour Piercing Arrows then your Thermal Clip Packs disappear from your hotkey bar. To fix this:

Go to bioinput.ini -> sfxgame -> sfxgamemodebase -> bindings. The specific entry you're looking for will be this one:

( Name="PC_HotKey8", Command="UseAbility 7" )

Copy and paste this at the bottom of this section, and change "UseAbility7" to "UseAbility11"

You wont be able to see your Thermal Clip Packs on the hotkey bar, but when you hit the button it will use one until you run out of them for the match.

Note: Do not change anything else in that section. You can break your game if you change the wrong thing in there.

Thanks for posting, but isn't this similar to Bacon's thread?

if you fix it with your coalesced, can't you just give it to everybody so they just replace files instead of modify their own?

It's the same thing.

The difference is mine exists and his doesn't due to mass amounts of porn being posted in it by the pornomancer himself =P

You never know what controls everyone wants.

Well, yes that's true.

There is a fix that could be given out to everybody, but it's a Reckoning game file fix which means you have to do additional things every single time you want to run the game to get it by the DLC check.

This doesn't actually fix the problem of your keybindings reverting to default, but rather just redefines what your default keybindings are. If I gave my file out to everybody, their Talon would then revert to my default keybindings.

Is there anything like this to fix the bugwave? Because regardless of what I do, it's near useless because it doesn't hit a thing after a few times.

You mean shockwave?

Don't take Radius at rank 4. It bugs it out on PC.

Bacon reposted it on reddit and there is a thread with a link to it in the resource library plus Dunvi posted a thread yesterday.

I didn't know Dunvi had posted her thread, since the search here is incredibly bad at doing it's job and Google returned nothing =P

I knew about reddit, but I rather would have had something here.

Ya, its always good to have it here. Here's Dunvi's and it looks like she made an application for those who are scared of coalesced editing. I have only glanced over what she wrote so I'm not entirely sure what the application does.

What fix might that be? Does it make changes to bin file in reckoning DLC?

P.S. Need to PM you, but BSN not letting me, accept my FR pls.

I haven't done it myself personally, but yeah it does change the Reckoning .bin file.

I accepted your FR(worst change ever BSN).

I had the same problem and just repaired Instalation of ME3 and it worked again. Even After I took radius

**** no i haven't made an application. it's on my todo list but then i get bored and don't try. i just made sure to include a "using the visual coalesced editor for dummies" section since sometimes people get scared of these things.

Whoops. I just saw scared of coalesced and .exe and made an assumption. Should have actually read it and then I would have caught that.

Recently reinstalled everything, don't think that will work.

I actually made another fix for that already with no exe's or coalesced editing necessary. I haven't uploaded it because I'm still busy with other things and it doesn't fix the ammo icon bug.

That's my main reason for not doing things, and why half my mods aren't finished yet.

Cyonan, for the first fix, don't you mean bioinput instead of biogame?

Talon Keybinding Fix
Once you have the Coalesced.bin file opened, you'll want to goto bioinput.ini -> sfxgame -> sfxgamemodedefault  -> bindings. In there you'll find most of the default keybindings in entries that look like this:
( Name="SpaceBar", Command="Shared_Action" )

Which means we still haven't figured out the underlying cause. I don't think I'll really quite be able to tell what's going on there until I understand better how player pawns are intialized.

Hm.. this thread gives us a hint, why does function UseAbility(int Ability) work with 11 but not 7 like you would expect because ammo is in slot 7.
