It's simple playground psychology, people want you to get wound up by insults because they have no argument. If you ignore their insults, or their condescending attitude, you'll expose their argument and conversations will actually be constructive.

Everyone will ignore this, because peer pressure nonsense for the next 22 pages or until a mod comes in and locks this will take precedence, it's just incredibly tedious to read.

Pfft. That's just stupid. Haven't you been paying any attention to the goings-on at the BSN? The mods will likely delete the thread, since that's what they've been mostly doing of late.

The mods aren't big on Heroism these days.

A prime example. Seriously, you've displayed immense egomaniacal and self-important tendencies, and a blatant disregard of other people's opinions to such a degree that I honestly think you cannot tolerate the idea of diversity and people having different perspectives from you.

Also your significantly less interesting to debate against (totally working from memory atm), you tend to stick with the whole "its their game", entitlement, or as seen in the previous post "ignore" it. People have talked about these issues to death but they avoid the core understandings of each person viewpoint. Hence its a shift in ideology with a bridge that cannot be mended.

Not ignore the valid critism, ignore the insults. Don't bite and throw them back. Look above, someone made a post that is literally nothing but slagging off David, it always leads to this, threads get locked because people care more about name calling than making a point and there will be pages upon pages of it. One second someone will call someone childish or stupid, then 6 people will jump on him for the next 18 pages doing the exact same thing. Look above for example, I've been accused of doing just that. Instead of ****ing about it I just asked him to post a source.

Sure, I'm interjecting here, I'm getting involved in the thing I'm complaining about, but this is a first and hopefully if I drill it into people now threads in the future wont go down this same path that many threads have been going down for this past few months. Maybe, if I speak up here, we might actually have threads where people care more about points and less about someone calling them a name on the Internet.

Well one does not trapse around the forums of bsn, looking for others examples of being a dick... If he was inclined to do it, it will take time. I am sure there is a instance where you been less than stellar in behaviour, I know for a fact that there is one or two (or more:P) of myself.

I feel sorry for David as well, but it is a reckoning of his attitude. I don't believe in "tough love" but I do believe in every action becomes a reaction. David has an aggressive writing style hence he recieves aggression in return.

My attitude for example is quite condescending. I don't hide this, I'm pretty sure I make it constantly clear how much Bioware deserves better fans, but even this is fine because most people ignore it. If someone does it back to me, I ignore it. I'm not even saying we all need to get along, because we wont, what I'm saying is everyone needs to ignore insults, or attitudes, and instead concentrate on actually making a point or the argument itself. If someone does insult you, you can weaken their argument more by just ignoring it.

Ignoring the condescension in this very post, we'll put it this way. David's points are typically rejected by everyone but him. What does that say about his points and arguments?
