Indra simply deals low damage and is highly affected by armor.
.. but I find its biggest problem is that most casters do not benefit from scoping...
By that logic the Widow, Black Widow and Javelin are the worst weapons in the game because casters don't benefit from scoping AND they get at least a 100% weight penalty.
Indra is different from those SRs.

I tried it recently and I really don't like the impact decals that appear when hitting something. Really blocks the view.
So true.

lol welcome to BSN OP. Nothing wrong with the Indra .Great gun in the right hands
Haha thanks. I've been on the boards for a while, i don't start threads normally, just reply in them occasionally. i just don't want to be using guns that are crap. Disciple anyone?
All guns are Gold/Plat in the right hands... though some (mostly Common Weapons) DO require the right kit (usually an Infiltrator, a Marksman kit or the use of the Incendiary Glitch) to actually be (somewhat) effective. I'm not saying an SI /w Predator will outscore a TGI Hsrrier but it won't be a 30k score either...

You are essentially comparing 3 hardest hitting anti-material sniper rifles with a scoped assault rifle.

If my Indra was at XI, I'd probably use it more often. The Perception wrote...
Could be that my indra is a XI and my harrier is a IV i think.

You know what, I loved it when I had it at lvl 1 and that was before all the buffing too.
I'll give him (my DA) a whirl again with the jav or bw. What would you guys think synergise better with him?

Oh... I t hought you were talking about game mechanics... Anyways it was sarcasm... And I hope you're being sarcastic too... Indra's a fine weapon.

Nowadays, in comparison to the harrier, the Indra's weaker points are visible. The need to stay in scope for extended periods tends to open you to attack. The harrier performs the same functionality but you will not get tunnel vision plus when i do spray shooting, the harrier allows me to see my next target more easily.
On an infiltrator, its still a good weapon that's a hell lot easier to use than single shot snipers and on ROF booster kits, its a better than using a harrier since increased ROF just makes the low magazine count more irritating than it is and has accuracy at range unlike a lot of the SMGs. You're guaranteed to have the possibility to hit whatever you aim in comparison to limited range beamers like the PPR and friends

It is more than useable, but I`d rather use this gun on weapon based character rather than power based characters.
Only time I felt like my Indra doing good job was when I put it on Destroyer... I did this because I had way too many SR amps.
When I play power characters I need to minimize my time spent in scoping because I like to keep my vision open wide as possible as long as possible.
Those single shot/BW SRs are different because their each shot simply counts and I don`t need to stay scoped for prolonged time.

Ammo is not that big of a deal either.
In short yes, Indra IS garbage.

Indra has lower damage AS WELL as lower RoF than harrier. Not to mention the scope is just a nuisance for what it's best at.

lol... "This gun isn't as good as the most powerful automatic weapon in the game. Therefore it is bad" swell logic right there...

It's only salvageable on the GI and the GE, and then only on Gold-, because the continuous fire expose you too much out of cover.
Hah. You've never actually used the Indra, have you? And why dafuq would you put it on the GE?

Oh yes, volus are perfect, Indra is garbage. BSN at it's best. 150k+ (my best is ~220K) on Gold WITHOUT any consumables or equipment (but with 65663 GI, yes). Paired with incendiary ammo, absolutely platinum-viable. 20 headshots on Hydra? No problem, but they are not needed because Indra kills things fast enough even without them. Especially useful while playing on laggy hosts.
I have seen you in action with the indra and I must agree you are the perfect example of how good this weapon can be, regardless of the philosophy of some BSNers "if it ain't easy to use, it's bad".
Thank you for kindly words. People here mastered guns and chars I can't even handle. I can't handle Harrier because of small ammunition, can't handle Acolyte and Venom because of required ammo equipment, can't handle Vorcha because I hate CQC and so on. But I don't name them a garbage. Really, people are strange.

.
It is actually pretty easy to get 20 headshots with.
It's an automatic, aim at center mass and climb the ladder.
