On BSN, the M-90 Indra doesn't seem to get much mention like other great guns like the Harrier, Claymore, or even amongst other snipers!

I loved it on my Tsent and then when the Drell Assassin was released, I slapped it on him just to see how he would do. He has been devastating ever since I paired him with the Indra.

The DPS for a sniper spec'd for sniper damage on TC rank 6 makes the Indra comparable to the Harrier, but with more ammo, and a built in scope.

So how come I do not see it used very often? You can weight glitch it too, making the HVB's weight a non-factor. Does no one else have it?

I'm with you TP.I discovered the indra just last week and slapped it on the weakest Turian (apparently). Instinct  tells me theres something special about ' this is my rifle this is my gun.' And when our superior betters tell us the opposite - makes me love it even more :P

Now it is difficult to use and I hear what some of the above are saying. But they've helped me decide to invest time in it. Please could you add some tips and strats about the Indra. I want it to be more than just the obstensible  'assault rifle with a scope.' Keep posting bro.

It is actually pretty easy to get 20 headshots with.
It's an automatic, aim at center mass and climb the ladder.

The recoil is negligible anyways. If you have an recoil control skills at all, the Indra may as well not have any.

120k is a pretty garbage score if you're playing on Gold with full equipments and consumables.

If you're not using equipments or consumables it's an OK score. And the Indra is just that - it's OK.

Your post is garbage. It's a blanket statement that is wrong more often than not, so how does it help your argument?

Oh so this was the reason for the "Minimum score to be considered not Garbage?" thread. Anyway, it looks like the guy is just "subtly" hinting how good he is, even without equipment or consumables (lol, no medigel, must do 10 waves survived on solos 100% of the time. :wizard:)

@iOnlySignIn

1) Every time I've used the Indra, I've got the Gold Headshot Medal.
2) It's actually easy to empty the Indra clip on Platinum. Hard cover is the greatest the lie ever told as far as this game goes..
3) Finally I'm getting sick of people classifying weapons as bad because they aren't as good as the meta-game weapons that make this game easy mode. Saying the Indra is bad because the Harrier or Hurricane is better is laughable and downright idiotic. It's like refusing to use the Lancer, CSMG. BPP, Eagle or PPR because the Harrier outperforms them as far as ease-of-use vs. damage goes. Basically the only weapons you guys should be using are the Harrier, Black Widow, Reegar, Hurricane and Acolyte as everything else that filles their niches are garbage because they are easier to use and subjectively better than every other gun..

- Degrades people who score 120k.
- Can't survive long enough out in the open to fire off 25 rounds... (THREE SECONDS)

Also I meant to add a "?" to the title post, more of a question. My observations so to speak. I stand corrected as the Indra is garbage. Mods, feel free to close thread...

Never try to win an argument with a moron... You won't win... Shame I realised iOnlySignIn was a moron after I argued.

I've always viewed BSN as a place where ME3 players get together to help one another out. I really thought the Indra was a great gun. I guess I just have to learn to play :(

^ This right here

Indra is great on certain characters and I like it. Some just can't handle small recoil and therefore can't get headshots with it... Comparing a gun to harrier to define if it's good or not is just idiotism.

I can sum up most of the anti-Indra arguments in one sentence:

It isn't the Harrier; therefore it sucks.

To be honest, I think that the Harrier should never have been introduced. With its only real limitation being its low ammo capacity, it had no place in a game where you are no more than a few seconds from an ammo box.

Harrier also (though i think it's bug) favors using Soft Cover while discouraging Hard Cover. Which is not every player knows how to utilize well. Just saying that lolHarrier has 2 cons... for a 1000 pro's.

Hmm if everyone says it's garbage, why then am I able to top scoreboards with 120k plus games while helping out with objectives and what not and get 50+ assists. Am I playing it too effectively? How should I play with it so it is garbage like everyone else says?

Help me hate the Indra.

That's because you're playing with people who are bad at the game.

Silent are you talking about my Infidrell? I wonldn't say impressive, but okay. I think I'll down grade him though as he's not Gi or TGI caliber it seems and I have been uewaponson him :(. I'll go Jav/BW or Harrier on him from now on as they are better weapons for him.  :(

Well, the problem with the hard cover vs. soft cover on the Harrier is that the dev's flipped them. So if you're in hard cover with the Harrier, it'll actually have more recoil. So it's better to shoot from soft cover with the harrier.

As Cyanon pointed out before though, soft cover provides full DR for your character while soft cover only grants you about 75% of the DR that is stated.

Well I understand your thoughts, but on average I get 75 kills and 50 assists. Even with a "good" team. I've been in PUG lobbies with cumulative challenge points over 100k and Lvl X ur's in the game and my score is about the same, So I'm not sure. I think i've hit a plateau tbh.

The Indra is the best Sniper Rifle for non-Infiltrators who actually care about their cooldowns (i.e., not the Trooper).  Maybe the Valiant is comparable if you have it at very high level.  It can be pretty effective on Infiltrators too, but the problem is that there are so many Sniper Rifles that are better (Javelin, Black Widow, CSR, Valiant, maybe Widow) that it's hard to justify using it on an Infiltrator.

Funny you mention the Trooper, I actually love the Indra on him. On Platinum I find it is the perfect weapon to complement the Acolyte as you can not always wait until you are in flamer distance to do damage, sometimes you need distance. I find it to be better than the Harrier, pistols or smgs as it can cross map and the others really can't. It keeps the cooldowns great as well and does respectable damage with Operative Package V,  sniper rail amp III and a high level ammo.  Like the OP I think it is a very underappreciated weapon.

To the OP, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks, if you love the gun and have fun with it, that is all that matters.

you are literally the only person ive seen do well with it. so i think it has to more with your skill and knowing how to play the infidrell kit

I think harrier is better fit. and it doesnt suffer from the no scope penalty.

Going to use it until I stock up more AR/Shootgun amps.

It has around 80 damage per shot, can get two pirecing mods, 25% damage bonus, very fast reload and has a nice low-power scope.

How is it considered bad?

I just can't remember the last time when I played a Gold game and nobody scored above 120k. Usually 2 or more players are above 120k.

Perhaps it's because all PC players are hackers.

Oh I'm sure you can fire for 3 seconds straight in scope on Platinum every time with your Drell. Because you have the awesome power of not being a moron.
