Oh, I'm sure the Indra does fine on the Trooper. The Indra is a good gun, and the ROF increase from Hunter Mode would be really good with it. I'm just saying the Indra isn't the best SR to use on the Trooper, where it probably is the best to use on a lot of other non-Infiltrator classes. For example, I think the Indra works great with a defensive bubble-specced Justicar or a Human, Salarian, or Geth Engineer. It would probably work pretty well with the Paladin Sentinel also, since it would complement his close-range fighting abilities.ManRightChea wrote...

The Indra is the best Sniper Rifle for non-Infiltrators who actually care about their cooldowns (i.e., not the Trooper). Maybe the Valiant is comparable if you have it at very high level. It can be pretty effective on Infiltrators too, but the problem is that there are so many Sniper Rifles that are better (Javelin, Black Widow, CSR, Valiant, maybe Widow) that it's hard to justify using it on an Infiltrator.
Funny you mention the Trooper, I actually love the Indra on him. On Platinum I find it is the perfect weapon to complement the Acolyte as you can not always wait until you are in flamer distance to do damage, sometimes you need distance. I find it to be better than the Harrier, pistols or smgs as it can cross map and the others really can't. It keeps the cooldowns great as well and does respectable damage with Operative Package V, sniper rail amp III and a high level ammo. Like the OP I think it is a very underappreciated weapon.
To the OP, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks, if you love the gun and have fun with it, that is all that matters.

We've also seen a few examples of this classic BSN fallacy in this thread - If someone disagrees with me then they must be trolling and/or stupid. Differences of opinion simply can not exist here.
OT: I agree with you OP, the indra is a good weapon but trying to prove how good it is using your average score isn't going to work.

Yes playing only four or five weapons is fun for EVERYONE, not just you.

Because ROF and Accuracy bonuses from hunter mode allow you to put the whole mag into a enemys face in 1/2 a second possibly?lightswitch wrote...
And why dafuq would you put it on the GE?
And the fact that overload makes for easy headshots might possibly help too.
The indra is arguably better than the harrier on kits that boost ROF, simply because of the extra ammo.
No good being able to fire something crazy like 1500 RPM on a gun with only 100 rounds total.
There's a difference between being trash, and just not being OP.

And yes, sniper infidrells are fun...but have you tried a Raider infidrell? Great fun, and very very effective.

I slapped it on my FQI yesterday and played against cerberus on glacier. The muzzle climb is negligable, though still a bit annoying for a SR. Jumping from target to target or following cartwheeling phantoms is difficult in-scope. But since you don't have to worry about shield gate with it you can equip both piercing mods, drill rounds and a geth scanner and wallhack to your heart's content.
With DI you can wallhack with recon mine. It's pretty awesome IMO. When I'm in lazy mode I do just as you and equip drill rounds to shoot through basically any cover or wall in the game

Meaning that sneaky Phantoms, Dragoons, and Hunters etc. can close in, while you wait an age to deal with a boss.
It's a concept which doesn't quite work IMHO

If you're doing that, most of the shots you land will not be headshots. I hope you will realize that some day.modok8 wrote...
It is actually pretty easy to get 20 headshots with.iOnlySignIn wrote...
It has a built-in scope, but not enough accuracy/stability to make use of the scope to get consistent headshots.
It's an automatic, aim at center mass and climb the ladder.
I'm not the one who said the weapon was hard to use
What I described is an easy way to get 20+ headshots with any non-single shot weapon
if you think it is hard to get 20 headshots with the indra, on PC no less, that is your problem not mine.

Admittedly pretty hard to place headshots, but it's doable. Didn't like it from the beginning, but you get used to it, and the hang of it, when used a couple of times. And of course when you got it on higher levels.
I've used it on the SI, QMI, QFI and I guess on the GI as well, but not sure.
The best character to go with for me is the SI -- Disrupter Rounds/Energy Drain:lol:.

to fast RoF for a sniper. but easy to handle and decent dmg with a light weight. Not that bad as caster.
If you can spare some cooldown time, there are better assault rifles or snipers.
