1. Turn into a spider with morrigan
2. Sing "spider(wo)man, spider(wo)man, does whatever can"(you may need to fake a crappy british accent to get the ryhme)
3. ???
4. Profit

On the other side of here is that emissary, and it is a hard fight, at least for me, as soon as you get to the spiders he becomes active and you can end up fighting allot of spiders and the emissary at one time. Best way to avoid this is hit the queen first clear that side and then do the emissary, you dont usually get all the other spiders on you that way.

Hmm, reading this post and comparing it with whine posts about how underpowered shapeshifting (includes spider) is... strange.
Apart from that, these are the first spiders, who really give me creeps. Especially, when they come from above...
My suggestion about the emissiary: Use paralyze or crushing prison on him, take care of the spiders, freeze some with CC and similar spells. Should be able to take care of them that way.
Its about numbers. 5 spiders webbing and overwhelming the 4 people in your party is madness. 1 spider (shapeshifter) webbing and overwhelming in a group of 8 enemies is kind of moot.
If a shapeshifter had an AOE web and an AOE overwhelm, I doubt there would be any complaints. Except that Wolf and Bear form suck by comparison

The spiders are kind of crazy on this game. I don't find their abilities to really be the problem, what bugs me- haha, no pun intended- is when you're in the mage origin story and that first one just drops down right on your head. It made me jump and my heart skipped a beat the first time that happened to me. And I was expecting it too, that's the stupid part.
YAY! I'm not the only one!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha yeah, I was happy to torch that thing.

Ahh, "Unexpected, you have my thanks"
I thought I made a boo boo and was being chastized for it.
At any rate, the first thing that came to mind after having my backside handed to me by spiders was exactly what I said...well that and to cast aspersions BioWare's sexual preference towards certain female members of their families...:innocent:

Have to admit that I really liked the spiders in hhis game. It's the first time I've encountered giant spiders in a computer game that weren't a walkover...they felt threatening...in most games giant spiders aren't scary, these ones are.
Nah.. Mirkwood blackboned ones and others designations were epic in some NWN perma worlds... DA's are a walk in the park compared!

Can someone tell me how to trade with characters in the camp from the different groups that appear in camp after completeing the main quest line? Example after completing the broken tower quest a mage appears in the camp and from what i've read i should be able to trade rune stones with him for experience points, but when i open dialogue i can't seem to get anywhere other than talking.
You cant, directly. You have to donate to the chest nearby...or to the nearby chest.

But, I don't like giant spiders as they seem to have no biological basis whatsoever to exist in TheDAS-- not even a fantasy biological basis. And, I'm a fan of "believable fantasy" creatures that are somewhat credible in their fantasy environment (Titain Quest did pretty well in that category).
Moreover, what do all these monsters "eat"? The biomass of "prey" animals -- even if one includes humanoids -- would not support so many giant predators -- particularly in caves (some other RPG have the same problem).

What happened first time is that both emissaries ressisted sleep and then walking nightmares then fireballed me while I was webbed.
Next time I did couple things, I slept spiders (less chance to resist then Emissaries), I then hit emissaries with walking nightmares, one of them got stuck in it. Killed then un cced one.. then rogue and one 2h warrior went on the other. My second warrior broke sleep with a bomb followed by the 2h sweep. I kept him healed/regened killed off emissarie and then killed spiders. Good fight. I wonder how this will be on Impossible

They have been know to prey on darkspawn...who " have no biological basis whatsoever to exist in TheDAS-- not even a fantasy biological basis." but it is a fantasy game after all.
