The posts on the Tumblr page confirm multiple countries, specifically mentions traveling from "eastern Ferelden to western Orlais". Excellent.

It also mentions that in order to advance the main plot, the Inquisition will have to build reputation, which done by exploring the larger world, finding treasure, doing side-quests, etc.

All I could make out of that footage is that it looks pretty good (no surprise there with Frostbite) and that it has horses (it's not like that is some kind of revolution).

Maybe because everyone has been clamoring for info for months? We have our first gameplay, which for pre-alpha looks amazing, we have confirmation that multiple playable races are returning (something everyone here has been begging for), and footage from the pre-alpha shows that BioWare is certainly changing what Dragon Age could be. Free-roaming, somewhat open world (from what we can tell), and a combat system made from the ground-up.

If you're a Dragon Age fan, there is nothing to not be excited about. Though as an individual, if you aren't excited, that's perfectly fine. But the way you word your post, not everyone will or should have the same disposition as you, nor is your disposition the "right or wrong" one.

It's not surprise the game looks decent with Frostbite (I can create what they showed there myself actually if I had the engine), I never played multiple races and never considered it a big feature, and a bit free-raoming is hinted with the implementation of horses which is indeed somewhat good news.

I don't really think there was enough that would make me jump at the ceiling like that, but I guess that's just the BioWare fanbase: hating on everything, saying they have the lowest expectations, never gonna buy a game again, but when they see pre-alpha footage of next to nothing, they throw all their money at the screen and scream out of maximum excitement. Happened with everything since I joined this forum.

I think it's just a case of people (understandably) wanting to believe it's not going to suck. There aren't many 3D party-based fantasy CRPG's with relatively decent writing / voice acting last time I checked. This is the first 'genuine' piece of information that gives the doubters real hope.
I am reserving my opinion for the time being because I wasn't exactly blown away either (perhaps this will change as a result of future gameplay trailers), but the return of multiple playable races is definitely good news.

I'm just...my head can't digest anything in this thread or the article. I' just going to sit here, staring into space, drooling and giggling uncontrollably.

On another note, those busts from the different races look awesome! I like how the elves seem to have kept the bone structure from DA2 but it's been toned down a LOT.

The images look tremendous to me. The Elves of the world thank you for the changes. Dwarves look great.

So from that article a few tidbits.

- Not confirmed at all but by the praise of ME3 multiplayer I would be very surprised now if they didn't have a DA3 mp similar to ME.
- I LOVE hearing about the exploration quests, back to the days of Baldurs Gate.
- Sounds like similar to DA2 with acts or phases that you will pass to upon getting enough rep for your inquisition.
- Vivienne as a mage companion. (I can already feel the seething hate of the pro freedom mage crowd for her as she is ardently pro circle.)
