So now we HAVE to fight the Chantry and we get a very pro-mage companion to start and no one to give the pro Templar view?
This game is fail and I will not waste my money on it, I hope you pro-mage fans are happy your whining has worked congrats.
Biowear have some gore-an faith your story don't some internet extremist fans push you around. Do you own thing.
1.You DON'T have to fight them.....you have to persuade them to join you( or not, which ever a person wants). Read a little more info before flying off the handle.

Relax.
2. I would say the chances of us being automatically pro-mage in a series that has done its best to portray ambiguity, and present both sides of an argument, is next to nil. Pretty sure you'll be able to pick sides.

You know.. they might just not reveal everything right now and actually keep stuff back for later reveal which could be characters that are more inclined to a pro-templar view
1. That's what they say, but I recon at best the Chantry/Templars will be Logain 2.0 and at worst Cerberus (you kill %90 of them but get a few defectors, espically given their really unfair treatment in the new book.
2. Have you read Assunder? Did you play DA2? The Templars were compared to Naz'is really blunty at that (tranquil solution really:sick:) and the way that people view the Mages, the poor oppressed people rather then people who can destory a town on a weekend if they wanted. And I think the devs just stopped careing/trying, 'why try to make it gray, no one likes the Templars, let's just have them as the bad guys.
3. You mean like in DA:O or DA:O:A? Alister was a really bad example if that's what they were trying with him. Only DA:2 had a pro Templar/anti-mage charater in Fenris, one out of three is not good odds. I assume a dev will say that Cas is their to be the 'Pro-Chantry' voice, but she is little better then the mages in this since she stayed with the Tratior Devine rather then carry on the fight.
So yeah this game got a lot less interesting to me.
I also don't like the return of the prologs, why waste the time when they already had a solution? I mean really would DA:O have been a bad game if we all got Alisters (for example) back story and it just picked up at Ostagar?
Also large open world? Like Skyrim, cause if I want Skyrim I will play Skyrim, I think DA:O got the explorlation right, I don't want to a 5 min walk/ride to get around, I want to get the action, whether fighting or politicking, as fast as possible.
More races yay<_<, now they can spend more time/money on more voice actors rather then making a better game.
edit: I am assuming that these anouncements are true, not 'jedi true' in order to keep fans interested.
