The Grey Warden being on his... grey side may be a bit troublesome. Especially if he has been a Warden for quite some time.

Mid-game;

Grey Warden: "Inquisitor, may I speak to you? I need your aid with something."
Inquisitor: "Ofcourse, go ahead."

*Companion quest starts*
Inquisitor: "Now what was it you needed me with?"
Grey Warden: "I'm going to fight Darkspawn in the Deep Roads untill I die. Help me pls!"

*Grey Warden dies MID-GAME*

And then you're left closing the Veil with one companion less lol

She has her detractors, some people don't like the character, the way they feel she was forced on hawke, some people don't like Felicia Day.
I would like to see Talis again.I suspect though if we see her she'll be an npc or an agent, not a party member.<_<

Oghren was pretty old as well when you recruit him. We don't know how old the Grey Warden is. So far, we have 3 females and 2 males. I think Sera and Cassandra will be the 2 female romance options. I'm not sure about either Varric or Grey Warden. The Grey Warden looks too old to be a LI. Not that there's anything wrong with his age but it's just not the typical Bioware romance. Varric has Bianca. She's still alive as well, so the chance is probably a bit too low to consider him as a LI. I remember someone said somewhere that there would be as many as 10, so the range would probably be at around 8 companions with another one as DLC. I think Cullen has a high probability to be one of the companion as well as the Iron Bull since they appear in various media pieces.

Everyone knows Varric wouldn't turn down a threesome with 2 Bianca. Two is always better than one. <3

Except there are also people that value loyalty and prefer to not share. It might just be Varric is one of them. Or Bianca and then it will be a "him/her or me" situation.

Now that I think of this, it would actually be really, really REALLY cool to see a companion make this decision instead of the PC  His choice could vary on the decisions you made throughout the game.

I think either David or Mike confirmed that Lukas Kristjanson, who wrote Aveline and Carver, wrote the blonde haired elf ("Sera").

Would be nice to know all the names of everyone on the Bioware teams..well..maybe not nice considering the fanbase.
Aveline should have been romancible, I think most romance oriented players feel that way.
Most players felt Carver whined too much and was too resentful of his sister hawke.

I hope Sera is a delightful character.We really need someone like that in DAI imo.

Wasn't there the image of that Elf with the fox collar? I think people were assuming he was the same as Dorian from the survey leak or the elf from the New Home and War Room concept art?

Complete speculation here, but he could potentially be some form of replacement for Alistair, who we can assume may be dying in DA3?  If we recall in ME3, if a major character was dead, then they had some rando replace them usually. Maybe that is Alistiar's placeholder? And they obviously don't want to show a major character like Ali in one of the teasers.

Fun speculation, regardless.

Nope, they have placeholder character in ME3, but they are all NPCs. It would be a waste of money to invest in voice recording as well as animations and events for 2 characters throughout the whole game, especially considering that they said they already don't have enough budget to go around. Seeing as how he appears alongside Sera (Which was controllable) during the gameplay, I have a feeling that he's a playable character. Besides, Loghain is Alistair's replacement.

Alistair is put to death if Anora takes the crown and the PC Warden doesn't intervene, OR can die if so chosen thru the Archdemon (No Dark Ritual).

Loighain can be Executed in the Landsmeet (Automatically if Alistair faces him in the Challenge) or be killed as a Warden thru the Archdemon.

form my estimentes the grey warden commander still has good 20 plus years befor he/she has to go to the deep roads
