They look lovely. So do the dwarves and humans.
To be fair, I didn't exactly hate DA2 elves; Merrill and Fenris looked fine. It was everybody else that looked weird.

While I did actually like the DA2 redesign, this is a *vast* improvement, bringing them more in the line with the classic depiction of Elves without going too far into Tolkien territory. More D&D, I think.

Oh, this is so much better. They still look exotic, but not animalistic. A very nice compromise!
(I STILL say the DA2 elves look too much like deer, cattle, sheep, and other dumb prey animals. Not good!)

Nope. Look at the clothes, these are Jacksonian LotR Elves, but slightly less Europe..., erm, human in looks because computer graphics allow a bit of tweaking of their faces. Otherwise, archetypically pretty slender humans with pointy ears (Recent D&D Elves often look far more distinctive than this)
Which is fine by me: Better a well-executed stereotype than a botched attempt at a bit more originality.

They look gaunt and underfed. I've yet to find the elves attractive in any iteration of Dragon Age.
