1. Wait until 12am local time
2. Select Quick Match, preferably on Platinum
3. The Acolyte doesn't exist
4. gg

I play Slayer exclusively off host gold/silver still come out on top
I never understood that statement ..sure there's a bit of lag but nothing that stops you from charging all over the place..

It doesn't stop you from charging, entirely, but makes charging and dodging less reliable, forcing you to play more conservatively, thereby reducing the fun factor.
perhaps that's what makes it more fun.. hosting its EZ mode

It's not about not being able to do well with it. I've played everything off host and do just fine with it. It's just a matter of if I want to deal with the nagging issues that come with using some kits off host. But that's just me.

If you host consistently as a vanguard, and then play off host there is definitely a noticeable difference. My character feels just slightly slower, but it's enough to throw off my timing for dodges/nova etc. I can still do extremely well off-host, I just die more often due to lag messing up my dodges or a banshee ghost grabbing me.Ganglok3 wrote...

Gonna repeat what I said before, it seems everything that isn't complete sh*t or gives you a slight advantage is considered a crutch. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

This is probably where the problem lies.
Besides, watching the screen is a crutch. Why don't you play blindfolded next time? Spectres can play without using senses at all.

Anyone who wants to play Vanguard, I can personally vouch for Deerber that he completely knows what he's talking about.

Nice guide. Listen to this guy...he knows vanguards....and he's my DrellGod brother:devil:
How does one join this Brotherhood of Drellgods? They're my favorite class too, ever since they buffed fire explosions and tech bursts he's easily my favorite platinum class to boot. If you need someone else to induct, just ask your drellbrother, I can more than hold my own...when I'm not roundhousing atlases for no reason.
The shield recharge, even on the flimsiest of vanguards, is exceedingly useful--even off-host, if your host has a decent connection speed, he's a solid character.

Such videos are usually several gigabytes big. Most of my solos, which lasted anywhere from 15-20 minutes, usually took 2 hours to upload on a 10mb upload connection.

Is it megabytes or megabits? I can never tell, I should've written Mbps.
Somebody explain the difference between megabit and megabyte?

For the record, the original drellgods were probably sabresandiego, Sp3c7eR, and maybe Sy7ar. I recall some sick vids from those guys back when everyone thought he was the squichiest of the squich. And before grenade gear no less.
Deerber's great, but you gotta respect history, yo.

Haha thanks man!
Well, in order to be a DrellGod brother, you must do the following:
- show an insanely deep and profound attachment to the kit whenever it gets named here
- refer to him as DrellGod at least half of the times
- make everyone stare in awe at the destruction whenever you play him
- answer any BSN question that regards characters (in a positive way) with "DrellGod"
- shove your love for the DrellGod down every BSNer's throat
So what I'd say is that... You were actually the first DrellGod Brother to be born, or one of the first
Welcome among us!
That said, I created a group some time ago to worship the DrellGod, but it's been quiet and silent there for months... Feel free to join if you'd like, however

Why of course I can, my friend. It will be my honour!
How long till you get one?

Yeah Shampoo is right of course. I was merely one of the first to annoy people on BSN with my love for the character
Never had the chance to play with sabresandiego and Sp3c7eR sadly, but I do recall the first time I've heard of Sy7ar. There was a guy posting on here shouting out to him for ramboing on Vancouver/paltinum/something by his own with a Drellguard, while the others were camping in the command room, and of course outscoring them 2:1. He had my admiration from there already. Then I played with him too, and... Well, let's just say that he's one of the few players that could still school me about this game
