Anyway, acolyte on any vanguard makes cerberus a cakewalk, yeah. But it's somewhat an entry level. There are better guns that are harder to make work. So I urge you not to settle on the acolyte and to try and lean towards new setups ;)

Well... I really like acolyte... I use it almost everytime... with paladin especially for cryo explosions. All I care is mission success at the end. And full extractions :D

Ughh, Acolyte - any power - one more acolyte if not enough.
If the kit requires acolyte, it's not self-contained.

Well I almost made gold solo only with acolyte with Human Adept. Bioexplosions are my primary weapon. For paladin - cryo explosions and for Slayer Biotic Charge and Phasic Disruptor. That's why I love this multiplayer. Not only use ordinary weapons... that's in every other game.

so what?
I have accidentally soloed reapers/white/gold with QFE wielding claymoar with no consumables (sans shotty gear) but it doesn't mean consumables are useless (it does mean QFE is awesome though ).

acolyte is a crutch weapon for poorly balanced powers (like pull).
BC staggers on it's own, so no reason to use acolyte, when you can charge the phantom and HS her with wraith/claymoar/raider while staggered.

And neither of kits you listed require acolyte to be extremely effective.
Human adept is much better with claymoar (or wraith if you afraid of High Lord)
Slayer is better off with Pirranha (or Talon, if you not so cool)
Pally is better of with Raider (or Hurricane if you are a little sissy)

My epeen is so huge, so I forgot to mention: it's mostly my opinion. Aside from "lolcolyte is a crutch" part, which is an undoubtable commandment.

That may work better for you. But I find Acolyte really suitable for me, fast recharge speed :) But... Claymore for Human Adept? I dunno... too slow recharge speed for me. I am more power based, than weapon based. And that thing with solo, I just meant that I believe it is possible to do that even just with acolyte.

I'm trying to tell you, that acolyte is actually OP on many kits.

The main power of HVA is the ability to conduct two biosploshions with one singularity, he retains it with claymore, though requires thorough cooldown and reload management.

I wish I had seen this thread when it came out. I eventually learned these mechanics on my own through gameplay and observation, but it would have been nice to find them out sooner.

Great guide though I know a lot of people who still don't fully understand the sync-kill mechanics of the banshee and praetorian.
