What an unexpected touch that was for Leliana to sing in camp. Her animation was kind of dorky and some of the facial expressions downright unsettling, but overall I thought it was a nice cinematic treat that brought some emotion to the game. I especially liked the cuts to other party members' perspectives. This game just keeps climbing up my list of top games.

I think Morrigan had the best response. I mean, it was a good song at all, and an ok scene, but I couldn't help but think of it like real life for a second.

Ever been to a beach (or other outdoor) party when it gets later on into the evening and everyone is just chillin, then some artsy self-centered **** stands up and starts singing really loudly? Her friends all think she is good and the guys that want to do her all crowd around, but everyone else is just kinda sipping their drinks and awkwardly looking at one another, because -god forbid- you talk too loudly while little miss attention whor is doing her thing.

That is what the scene reminded me of more than anything. Poor Morrigan sittin off at her own fire thinking "Shut up ****, I was trying to read this Grimoir"

Except that Leliana is a bard. It's expected that she'd sing; in fact, Morrigan even asks her if she's written about the Battle of Redcliffe, for example.

It was a nice song, but the facial animations were terrible.

You guys are incredibly jaded. All I remember was a sweet woman who my character loved singing a lovely song and bringing a measure of peace to a tired and weary party.

I thought it was one of the best touches in the game.  It really "humanized" all the characters.  And the voice was lovely.  Cudos to Bioware!

She was throwing her voice.

The voice obviously wasn't Leliana's though.

I loved the song. And I thought the reactions of the party throughout were intriguing. It was a beautiful scene, IMHO. In any case, it was a gamble to include it that most developers wouldn't have made.

Personally I felt it was a bit out of nowhere. It would have been much more fitting near the very end of the game. I could see her singing and such as times become more dreary and things are coming to a head and everyone needs to relax a little. Just randomly singing in camp threw me off a bit.

OK OK maybe the animations could have been better(so ya think you could improve 'em for us?), however if that wasn't put in there, would any of us complained that it wasn't included?

It was a perfectly timed, well thought out addition, to a very dire time.

how better to try and relax, after a tough day of, "tryin to see tomorrow"?

I read her reaction as being more regretful of who/where she was, shouldn't really discuss this in depth in a no-spoilers topic though!

wow. Finished the game twice and I still haven't seen this cut scene. I feel cheated. I must try to find it.

Increase your approval with her and talk to her in Camp every time you're there.  She does it around 80ish approval, I think.  So, if you're romancing her--you should see the song before you get to do her.

It wa awkward like the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

In fact, lets all watch Leli sing a song from Buffy......

It was the one of those scenes that feels awkward to even watch. It could have been good, but the soft female chorus with the lip-syncing was just strange and made the whole thing feel hoaky.

She is a bard and she should sing multiple songs, but make them real - even if she isn't a great singer. I don't need an Enya music video in mah video game.

She could have just spouted the occasional limerick or something. That've been cool.

Although very funny, that is TARA singing.  Not Buffy.  Still very good.
