Probably Elf, probably Mage, but its open to change once I get into the game and get a feel for the classes gameplay mechanics and more importantly which combo I feel fits the story best. I always play DAO as a warrior or heavy armored DS rogue cause it just feels right for the Warden, while in DA2 Mage feels like the only logical choice for Hawke, I can't decide what fits the Inq best until I see more of the game.
Rogue, Warrior, or Mage?

Male dwarf warrior, Berserker specialization if possible. Haven't decided between a maul or 2handed axe yet... ^^

All of the classes-
Female Mage for my canon run (Amell Warden and Mage Hawke, So maybe Elf Inqusitor since there is no Amell background.)
Female Dwarf Rogue for my DA:I Let's Play (Since I have a Dwarf Warrior for DA:O and a Mage Hawke for DA2)
And a Warrior Inqusitor for 2 Other continuations (Male Elf Mage, Female Rogue Hawke, Male Elf Warrior & Female Elf Rogue, Male Rogue Hawke, Female Human Warrior).
Maybe a second mage as well...who knows.

If the races actually do have bigger effect on your playthrough than they did in DA:O then I'm good with different races.

Female dwarf warrior. Or I will just pick based on the companions. If everyone except the mages looks interesting, I will go with a mage. Kind of meta-gaming, I know.

Human male mage.
I hope there's some sort of arcane warrior specialization or the ability to wield swords.

Human Male Mage, at first.
Female Elf Warrior, second.

Now that race selection is on the table, I think I'm going for dwarf. My Warden was an elf, Hawke's a human, so that should round it out... will probably go the 2H Warrior route to keep it classic, or maybe a rogue since my other two PC's were both rogues to keep the tradition alive.
But, yeah, if Kossith/Qunari/Whatchacallems are an option, I might go for that too.

Male elf mage, unless we can be a kossith mage. Then kossith mage, so hard.

I like playing a mage but will probably launch multiple games at once. So excited......

I will play all the classes at least once, but for my first time through the game I will pick the class the devs seem to brag about the most.

Was going to be a rogue, but now that we have race choice back Female Elf Rogue following Female Elf Mage. My third play through probably female dwarf warrior.

I believe I'll play as all classes, genders and races eventually but I think I'll start as an elf mage. Because mage is my favorite class by far and I don't want to play as a human right away. Also very excited to play as a dwarf (probably a rogue).

Human Mage.
Those were both my canon characters in the first two games I see no reason to stop now.

I'll likely run through (as both male and female humans) rogue, and then mage. I never play as a warrior.

M/F Human Rogue Archer
M/F Human Mage
M/F Elf Rogue Blades
In that order. {But I will probably play as all at seeing as I have many different playthroughs.

Very first character in DA O was Aine, Dalish Elf that was pretty vicious with duel blades. My first character in DA 2 was a Spirit Healer, Dawn. I'll roll with a rouge in DA I because it is by far my favorite class.

1. Human Female Rogue (Archer/Dual Blade) Opportunist
^ Basically my Shepard. The best type of character for a first playthrough IMO
2. Dwarven Female Warrior (Two-Handed) Omnicidal Maniac
^ A berserker playthrough to slaughter anyone indiscriminantly and to explore different outcomes
3. Elven Male Mage (Blood Mage) Revolutionary
^ Mages are usually more complex to play than other classes both in combat and in RP

Everything eventually, but Rogue first.
Hearing about the Warrior's new grappling ability has me intrigued. I wonder what the other classes get in terms of functionality.

Male human mage first.
I don't particularly care to play as an elf or dwarf. Always male for me too.

I always, always play first as rogue. Then decide if the cost of not being a rogue is worth it and try a different class. I've only ever played Origins as a rogue (baring the Origins themselves), but I played DA2 at least three times each class.
Oh, gender. I usually play as a female first. But eventually will play as both.

First time will probably be as a Human Shield-Warrior (been doing that for 20+ years), although playing a rogue (archer if decent abilities) might be a possibility since it's nice having the PC with the roguish skills.
