Allistar King - No Baby
Allistar Isn't King - Baby with Morrigan
Allistar isn't King - No Baby
Allistar is King But Slays Archdemon- Baby with Morrigan

The individual party members are also prone to getting different endings... or never get one at all if you kill them.

Actually I'm not really sure on some of those endings sense I do not know what happens when Morrigan has baby.

My current game will answer that question and I'm about 10 min from archdemon fight. :)

Plus if you include Loghain in the fray thats another couple of ending to add.  Well you just replace Alistair really to the above posts.  However its still classed as individual and are different so yes they are different endings.

Yes DAO has a lot to keep track of!

I started a decision tree to see what endings there were, but I started getting a headache, since I was going for not just the endings, but all possible epilogues for all the characters. But here's what I have just on endings......

Alistair and Anora - demon baby, you both live
Alistair and Anora - no demon baby - Alistair dies
Alistair and Anora - no demon baby - You die
Anora - demon baby, logain dead, you both live
Anora - demon baby (male PC or Loghain), alistair exectuted/gone, you live
Anora - no demon baby, Loghain alive, alistair executed/gone, you die
Anora - no demon baby, Loghain alive, alistair executed/gone, Loghain dies
Anora - no demon baby, Loghain dead, alistair dies
Anora - no demon baby, Loghain dead, you die
Alistair - demon baby, you both live
Alistair - no demon baby, alistair dies
Alistair - no demon baby, you die

Can you become king if you're a male human noble (marry Anora)?

Just taking into account Warden, Alistair, Loghain and Anora and not what 'boon' the living warden gets or any other part of the story... about 36 variants, although technically less if you don't care whom does the ritual :P

Dk, yes you can... although technically you will be a Prince-Consort, just like females who marry Alistair are Princess-Consorts

Edit: *WARNING WALL OF TEXT BELOW* all the variants I can think of as listed above

Loghain spared / Loghain sacrifice / Alastair + Anora = King + Queen
Loghain spared / PC sacrifice / Alastair + Anora = King +
Queen
Loghain spared / Loghain ritual / Alastair + Anora = King + Queen
Loghain spared / PC ritual / Alastair + Anora = King + Queen
Loghain spared / Alastair executed / Human Noble PC ritual / Human Noble PC + Anora =
King + Queen
Loghain spared / Alastair executed / Loghain sacrifice / Human Noble PC + Anora =
King + Queen
Loghain spared / Alastair executed / Loghain ritual / Human Noble PC + Anora = King
+ Queen
Loghain spared / Alastair exiled / Human Noble PC ritual / Human Noble PC + Anora = King +
Queen
Loghain spared / Alastair exiled / Loghain sacrifice / Human Noble PC + Anora =

Loghain spared / PC ritual / Alastair = King
Loghain spared / Loghain ritual / Alastair = King
Loghain spared / Alastair exiled / Loghain ritual / Anora = Queen

Loghain spared / Alastair executed / PC ritual / Anora = Queen
Loghain spared / Alastair executed / PC Sacrifice / Anora =

Loghain executed / Alastair ritual / Alastair + Female Human Noble PC = King + Queen
Loghain executed / Alastair ritual / Male Human Noble PC + Anora = King + Queen

The endings are much more than most people realize.

There are variations of the ending where Morrigan ends up pregnant even WITHOUT the ritual.

If your male Warden beds her at camp and says no to the ritual then the epilogue will mention that Morrigan never did the ritual but there are rumors that she was seen with child and that she once was the lover of the Warden.

So you can go ahead and die and let Morrigan have the child anyway.

It's probably a regular child in this case because the Warden who kills the Archdemon dies too, which means the essence of the Archdemon did not go into the child

There are many variations to the endings as others have posted. If you're asking about the achievements in regards to endings then there are only four.

1. The Ultimate Sacrifice - You sacrifice yourself and kill the archdemon.

2. A Dark Promise - You accept Morrigan's ritual proposition, allowing you to kill the archdemon yourself and still live. (male chars only)

3. Warden-Commander - You let Alistair sacrifice himself and kill the archdemon.

4. Redeemer - You let Loghain sacrifice himself and kill the archdemon.

A female character can get this ending by convincing Alistair or Loghain to sleep with Morrigan.

Yup as mentioned above, the list I have just takes into account basics of those characters, it doesn't delve into romances or anything much else. In reality there is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more variables, if you bring the treaties into it and other things such as what happens at redcliffe, whether you side with the cult of andraste or not, whether you kill genetivi or not... lots and lots and lots of variables.

Though when it cuts down to the nitty gritty the funny thing is, there is various ways a male human noble can end up married to anora in comparison to how a female human noble can end up married to alistair. Namely because... Loghain must die for you to marry Alistair, whilst it doesn't matter if he dies or not to marry Anora, really... well... apart from the fact Alistair has to 'execute' him if you go down that route, just as warden has to execute him for Alistair to be able to marry Anora

Edit: Kepha is right, I got that on my first playthrough whilst playing as a female human noble, that is the OTHER key factor in the Alistair+Human Noble as King and Queen hehe, whereas for Male human noble, they can easily allow the other warden to make a sacrifice hehe

I did not know about those achievments.  I'll be doing #2 tonight.  Cool, thanks for the info.

Ah yes! Forgot about the Human Noble choices where the PC can become consort.

I didn't think that if you spared Loghain Alistair stuck around at all. I thought he left or was executed.

What Convo choices do you need to go through to get him to stick around? I did Alistair and Anora were to marry, spared Loghain, (alistair in love with PC who had high cunning) and no matter how many convo options I went through, he took off (after Anora spared him).

I will have to continue through the conversations at that point to see what happens.

And is there some reason you can talk Loghain out of killing the Archdemon but not Alistair?

Don't you think some guy who wanted to redeem his honor would be harder to talk out of the sacrifice compared to a 'hardened' Alistair who wants to be king? (what good is a dead king?)

As far as I have been told (not completely done this myself yet though will be soon).

You do what you have done already but... when it comes to the Landsmeet, you put Alistair forward as King on his own. From what I've been told as long as you've cheekily arranged the 'marriage' of the two beforehand Ali doesn't go nuts and kill Loghain.

If I have been misinformed however then that means there is 32 endings instead of 36 (basically remove all the ones where Loghain spared and Alistair as solo King).

As for Loghain on the rooftop. As far as I am aware the thing with Alistair going solo-suicide without convo is if you love him. If you don't love him, you DO get the chance to choose (I think, although only time I've had this convo, I just let him do it because I was playing a nasty dwarf haha)

The other thing to remember though is that you can leave either of them at the gates as well, hence PC does sacrifice rather than either of them ;)

Just finished.  I didn't have a choice to who kills the archdemon this time.  Probably because everyone was dead, lol.  I got hte one achievment so that's cool.

Also doe the First Enchanter normally show up?  He was there for the entire fight and I never called in the mages.  Also Arl Eamon showed up one of the times I think.  It was a fun fight.

I want an ending where Mabari can become the king!

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I bet I'm not the only one. [Excited Panting]

In terms of the number of possible "end title" sequences you can get, there are effectively an infinite number of endings.

In terms of the cutscenes you can watch, I believe there are four. The only things that determine the cutscene are: 1) whether the Warden lives or dies, and 2) who becomes the ruler of Ferelden. Basically the only difference is whether the speech is a eulogy, and who is giving it. (I could be wrong about this as I have not seen certain endings, e.g. I have never had Loghain alive at the end.)

In terms of achievements, there are four, already listed above.

I usually play male characters, so I did not know this was possible. :)

Just say no to Riordan's suggestion and execute him yourself and don't hesitate or act like you want to listen to his idea ot that gets Alistair to speak up and go against it.  This way Alistair won't throw a hissy fit and cause Anora to change her mind.  It doesn't matter if you arrange it before hand.

You can suggest this in the Landsmeet itself and they'll go for it.
