on the story? What I mean is that (and correct me if I'm wrong) initially your specialisations were going to be essentialy like your origin and were going to play a significant part on how the world reacts to you and the dialogue choices available to you. Now that we have different playable races will that still be a possibility? I mean I will be pretty annoyed if other characters still failed to question you if you chose the blood mage specialisation (providing it is an option) and treated you as if you didn't dabble in that sort of magic and your character responded in a way to suggest he/she didnt either.

I never heard anything about specializations doing what you're talking about.

They previously intended to have backgrounds with some effect, but those are gone now.
