DS 9 was a spinof for TNG and the enxt Mass Effect will be a spinoff of the current one.
And Like the Star Trek comparison it will be a stand alone story with no Shepard.
Will the next game be a triology or a spin-off?

the citadel dlc was kinda stupid and pointless in my opinion. MASS EFFECT 2 was the end of MASS EFFECT........its just the truth. A sad truth, but the truth.
Wrong topic?

DS9 acknowledges TNG. Sisko talks to Picard at some point.

Considering the choices made in each game really don't change the story, on a plot level I guess, they should just do something new. I fear Mass3 choices affecting Mass4. I'd like something focused more on the combat system of Mass3, hate the story and half the characters but I LOVE the combat.
The stories and characters are the most critical elements of the games. Needless to say going this route would ruin the game entirely.
No it wouldn't. Everyone can name several characters they would go without. And I didn't say GIVE ME GAME WITH NO CHARACTERS, I just mean for Romances, Bromances, and Friendships, I honestly didn't care for half the characters and the ones I did like I would let go. Maybe they should upgrade that Play Style option.
Combat Style: Just Shepard in a First-Person shooter. Or at least give me more time to actually like the characters.
When that little boy died in the beginning of mass effect 3 I honestly didn't feel nothing. Why? I did one choice to try to save him, I didn't exactly DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER. Give me a chance to like them, more than two lines of positive or negative dialogue.
