Hello Bioware community and bioware devs.
Now that we have gotten a comfirmation about different playable races I want to start a productive debate about an element of it.
How do I start this off?Well, personally I was fine with only human protagonist because I was slightly dissapointed about one thing with multiple dragon age origins races. The problem was that:
Almost nobody noticed your race after you completed your origin.Everyone just treated you as you were human.Nobody had any racism towards your character or gave you any benefits because of your race.
The excuse of this was the same excuse bioware gave for playing a blood mage. You're a warden now,it doesn't matter what you are.
I personally think it matters, and it would be great if the story shapes differently because of special benefits/disbenefits your race has in Thedas socitey. It would be great if NPCs reacted to your race.It would be great if in combat enemy NPCs could throw racial slurs etc...
What are your thoughts on this matter?
Race choice that matters.
