Most I've seen seem to think she's our Traynor or Kelly Chambers.

Without attempting to redirect the thread into unfortunate territory, I would say that if you have a problem with mods changing the appearance of a character, don't use them. Ultimately I think the motivations for making Vivienne white would probably be a little suspect, but the mods will almost definitely exist ( I can tell you that now), so it's best not to lose sleep over it.

People who download such a mod may well be racist. But at the end of the day a mod is fan made and it's a relatively free society, so it's not worth worrying about it.

On another note, I really like the look of Vivienne so far. The snarkier they come, the funner they are to conversationally joust with. Except Varric. He can be as much of a **** as he wants, because he's my 'bro'/

If i remember correctly that staff is tied to Hawke familiy. Or maybe BioWare is just reusing the model.

Just noticed that. The one with the naked woman on top of the staff.  I doubt it means anyting. They probably needed a powerful staff to use for the demo.

I'm not sure why everyone is seeing her as bald in her icon?? Every time I look at it in multiple videos all I can think of is bust of Nerfertiti in profile.

Fitting since egyptian royalty often shaved their heads and often wore wigs.

Her icon definitely looks bald, with a white cloth or something flowing down the back of her head.

I am unable to copy the image here, but go to the DA wiki and look at Vivienne's page.  There is an inventory image that shows the icon at the bottom at a decent size and quality.  She definitely looks bald.


It would be awesome if she is indeed bald.

Not to inject race into it but Africans and African American can style their hair differently.

Silly, nug. It's corn rows not corn rolls. Have you ever seen a field of corn rolls?

Dreads get really dirty and are hell to clean apparently, not the thing for a fashionable upper class lady like Vivienne.

... And I can't think of a reason to be against corn rows but suffice to say I am.
