Dreads get really dirty and are hell to clean apparently, not the thing for a fashionable upper class lady like Vivienne.
That's a myth. Dreadlocks get dirty only to the same degree as any other hairstyle (seriously, WTF) and you wash them just like any other hair. They require some specialized maintenance, but so does every type of hair when it's long.

Did anyone notice that blur move she used before she cast that AOE fire spell in the video? Was that a mage specific evade move? Or was that another spell?
Seems like that is the dodge for mages now. Apparently we can sort of teleport (exept it's not exactly telaporting) because of the fade tear changing magic.

well, i don't have dreads, but i do have quite long hare (goes down to the middle of my back) and it does not need all that much maintenance (it needs washing and conditioner, like all really well tended hair does IMHO and it needs combing (takes longer then with short hair), but that's it)
as for dreads? - that's no upper-class-hairstyle for me (!) so please don't give her that

Yah it can look really nice on some women. There was a woman who lived in the town I grew up in and she always shaved her head, She looked stunning tbh I remember loads of women being jelous of her.

What was that Barbershop ?
Lots of hairstyles to choose from.
Be nice if we could set our companions hairstyles.

If it's a teleport, it sounds like the kind of dodge Control Wizards have in Neverwinter Online.

I wonder how old Vivienne is supposed to be?
My guess is mid 30 to 40, First Enchanter candidate shouldn't be less than that.

That's what I was thinking, but Dragon Age has always been really weird with companion's ages, especially women. Leliana, Morrigan, and Isabela's ages were all over the place.

I don't mind having a variety of ages. There are so many games where everybody is 18-22, it's nice to have some characters who are a little older. I remember Gaider saying that (at the time of Origins) Morrigan was in her early 30's or something like that.

Conditioner is specialized maintenance. Combing is specialized maintenance. Some hair types require neither of these things, or need to be conditioned or brushed in a way that is completely different from how you maintain your presumably straight European hair, and so on.

I thought Morrigan was younger than that in DA: O (somewhere in late teens, early 20's). That would put her in her early 30's in this game.
I expect Vivienne to be a bit older. I'd say she's going to be mid-late 30's. She was in line for the First Enchanter position, which is pretty prestigious. All of the First Enchanter's that we've seen have been at least in their 30's (if not older). She seems mature, but not old, so I'd say mid-30's is likely.

Just based on appearance I'd be surprised if she was younger than 25.

Nah she was late teens dude. Origins engine for some reason couldn't produce anything but fugly character models. If you need proof, look at her concept art (even looking at the Origins box you own would be enough). Morrigan is clearly depicted as a young girl.

I think you are mixing First Enchanter with Senior Enchanter.
The youngest First Enchanter we have seen is Orsino and he's clearly over 50 and his bio says he's the youngest of all the First Enchanters. The other First Enchanter we have interacted with is Irving and he's older than Wynne (who's apparently over 60). The First Enchanter in Dawn of the Seeker looks over 50 too (and he died in Asunder, that's the First Enchanter Vivienne is replacing I guess).

Yup, that line made her an instant fav and guaranteed her a spot in my party.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said "seen", because I was also referring to characters in the books and comics. According to the wiki, there were several First Enchanters in their 30's (such as Adrian and Enchanter Illana).

I believe Garrus still had his classic voice way back in some of ME's most initial demo footage, so it seems likely that she's going to be the VA.
And I love the way she refers to people as "My Dear". I don't know how to phrase it, but it adds something to her character, makes you feel like she's still fond of you and your party members, even when she's going to act lovably snark and condescending about it, because that's just how the upper crust rolls.

Sorry, I just don't see Morrigan as a 17 year old. Far too young, especially considering that she is a potential LI for the Warden. Both her appearance and her personality suggests someone older, IMO. I'd guess about 25.

How does this keep on coming up?
David has said that she wasn't a teenager.
The toolset lists her as 32 and they used a VA in her thirties. I'm guessing late twenties, early thirties.Han Shot First wrote...
