The article says that she is "extremely pro-circle" and that "she wants to help her fellow mages". I don´t think those two are contradictory, she thinks the circle is the best plataform for mages to improve their lot. So she has similar goals as the rebelling mages, but thinks that the circle system can be salvaged and used in benefit of the mages. Either way, the fact that she is having a crisis of faith likely means that she may be able to swayed to either breaking away completely and doing away with the circles, or reinstitute them again but reformed to make the lot of mages better in there.

Do you always limit your team to only characters that agree with you? What's that like? Seems like it would get rather dull at times.


If the rumor I heard was true, that she's fond of enflaming people she doesn't like, then she's got a secured spot on my team.

I do at least in others RPG well especially in older like BG or PT i don't see point going through with characters who annoys me like Korgan when i play as evil character or Aerie when good but in da series i tolerated them and even were friend with all of them because i was nice to them.

Now i don't see reason why i should take character who will hate me because i helping every innocent mage and probably betray me.

I believe Gaider has stated that the LI's wont be gender exclusive. So yeah if she's a LI then that should be an option.  
Placing my bet that she is one.

Yeah, if it wasn't for the news that we can be elves again I would definitely be bumping off Cassandra from my romance list for my human femquisitor. Hopefully in the second playthrough.

By the way, has rivalmancing been confirmed? Vivienne sounds like she would be a better rivalmance.

If she was next in line to be the first enchanter and judging by her young appearance, it would seem she knows how to play the orlesian game quite well. The only two other characters we have met that where good at that where in leiliana's dlc. I hope she is more like leiliana and not like her orlesian ex boss (forget her name) who double crossed leiliana in the dlc. then tried to kill her in dragon age origins.
If she is like leilianas ex boss then I will have to be cautious. Damn orlesian games! Lol.

I think her outfit looks decidedly modern, rather than high medieval like Thedas is supposed to be.

Let's just hope her views are just as equally modern.

Right now her origin is unknown, but Orlesian is probably the best guess. Vivienne is a French name that means 'alive.'
I wonder if the name is a hint at her personality.

Well there aren't many "Vivienne" here, and if there were, they would rather conjure images of powdered ladies and ancient lace. It sounds very old-fashioned, something my grand-grandmother would wear.

To me it's an obvious reference to Vivien / Viviane / Nimue, the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian legends.

Wittle Vivy wanted to be Flemeth when she was une petite fille in the Circle, hence hair horns.

Actually from what we know of her personality she probably still wants to be Flemeth, just less apostate-ey and with a dash of Frank Underwood.

I always do, even to the point when my character is left alone sometimes, and I have no team. It is not dull, it just makes sense to me.
