Noticed this in one of the Game Informer videos, this is the clearest I could make it.

The article mentioned finding secret areas and unlocking paths using particular skills (so mages could raise bridges with magic to access new locations), is this skill tree tied into the exploration system? It could mean using a diverse party is encouraged by the game's systems (combat as well as exploration), particularly if not all classes can access all areas and secrets using their own abilities. It also gives classes a non-combat role, and non-combat skills were badly missed in DA2.

I'm glad exploration is getting what seems to be a prominent place in the game again - as Mark Darrah said, there is a real sense of excitement in uncovering new places and exploring new areas.

Well, all those tables are labeled "Exploration Skills toolset", so I'll go with yes.
I have to say that the rogue has my attention, too little stuff for the only class that you needed to unlock all the doors and chests in the previous games.
Still, this game is WIP, probably that tree will get bigger over time.

Looks like exploration is not just words. *insert any DA2 jk here* Pretty exited about that.

Skills? Stop doing it right, BioWare. Give us something to complain about already.

Wow! I noticed those images in the video and I was guessing it was the classes.
I wish I could read what each of the clases say.

The rogue caught my attention as well since it's my fave class. Too few things for Rogue but we shouldn't worry since they have another year to work on it and explore some cool ideas for each of those classes.

I hope this means Rogues can have legitimate ninja skills. Scaling walls and the like.

I saw it in "The Return of Races in DA: Inquisition", but I accessed it from the Game Informer digital magazine so it's possibly not up on the website yet.

Then again they might've reused some of the footage in other videos.

I thought so, because neither of the videos on the site are the same length as the one in your screenshot.

I was hoping to view it in a higher definition with full screen to see if I could read it.

It's new (At least for us):
Your video lasts 3:30 mins aprox, on the website, there are two, one has a duration of 1:30 and the other, 6:20.

Edit: !

EDIT: So this is from a new video? Please, if you can read when you see it in fullscreen, write down stuff from there for us ^^

I... had no idea exploration skills were in. Good find, ElitePinecone! Maker, the implications~

Usually I don't care much for what is called exploration in games, since it tends to mean wandering about huge empty locales and maybe find a chest somewhere with no actual gameplay difference between exploration and straight dungeon corridor walking. But this makes it look like you can actually do something while exploring =D

This extra year EA gave BioWare is turning out to be so good, so good <3 For shame, BioWare. You're making me hype for exploration of all things. What dirty magics are these? :P

They might provide a higher definition version when it goes up on the main site properly.

There are seven videos in total accessible on the digital magazine, the two that are already on the website and another 5.

"Exploring the World of DAI"
"Combat in DAI"
"Bioware Talks the Future of RPGs"
"The Return of Races in DAI"
"Managing Dragon Age's Future and Lore"

Just rewatched the video and can't actually read anything on those pages - it looks like we'll have to wait for a HD version, if one exists.

wild guess but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of them are rather similar in effect or one for lifting logs, one for pushing aside a big rock. plus you know know mage version, warrior version, another for rogue.

it looks like mage has the most... I hate who ever put that in the video just enough to catch your attention but not actually showing anything

I can barely read any goddamn thing there.

But the existence of exploration skills makes me happy. Especailly since, apparently, you have different skills per class!

What a tease! :P

Personally, I enjoy the titillation.  I get to fill in the blanks.  That aside, maybe us fans can even get in a tizzy about it and formulate awesome variation of how an exploration tree could work, which could then be implemented later on in the game.  Idk.

This reminds me of Pokemon and those HM..mules?

I wouldn't say they were badly missed. They were only available for one class called rogue.. which was pretty damn ****ty.

Gating content based upon skill selection, gimping myself in combat if I want to access an area? Pffff.

Meh, looks fine how it is. It's payback time for all the rogue abuse over the years.
