Hmm I just remembered Carver can be either of these fates.. I normally make him a Templar, even though his preference seems to be Warden... Wonder what each Carver would have to say on the matter =P

Uh the Templars do/did far more good than the Wardens imo.draken-heart wrote...
If I had to choose just one, I would go with the mage hunters. The Wardens have it bad but that is countered by the fact that they do good work.

Locking up mages is so much better than venturing into the Dep roads and taking care of Darkspawn which helps people as well.

For people who aren't outright malevolent or willing to accept orders that are, templars. Otherwise, Wardens.

Considering what those mages are capable of and the rarity of Darkspawn going topside I'd say it is.draken-heart wrote...

And let's not forget guys like Avernus and the guy who forced Malcolm Hawke to help him by threatening to kill his wife and unborn child or the Wardens who plotted against Maric or the Right of Conscription so the Wardens have their bad eggs just like the Templars.

Mages are not at war with the Wardens now, are they?
I still say armored tyrants have it worse off. Being a warden still feels like being a part of something real important, while the Templars are 100% questionable in their duty to watch/slaughter mages.

No but Ferelden's almost done so And you're acting like the Mages or Wardens aren't capable of wrong doing.draken-heart wrote...

Protecting the general public from dangerous magic isn't something real important or noble?
And the Wardens aren't?Remember the Right of Conscription,Avernus,Jeneka and Larius?

Really? Bringing those morons in again. TEMPLARS FAIL TO BE AN EXAMPLE OF ANYTHING BUT CRUELTY TO PEOPLE, MAGE OR NOT!
Wardens do not follow the cliche hero must do good always, anything to beat the darkspawn/end the blights, that is more noble than stripping a mage of his natural rights just to protect the people to afraid to accept magic in the first place.

Yes because it's relevent if you want to hold a few extremists as representing the whole Templar Order. Not really most Templars are reasonable people.draken-heart wrote...

So it's okay for Wardens to do dubious actions for the "greater good" but not the Templars? That's rich considering Wardens do worse via the Right of Conscription. Except that out of control magic and dangerous mages are a more constant threat then Darkspawn.Really let's just pretend dangerous or foolish mages like Conner,Jowan,Flemeth,Feynriel,Morrigan,Merril,Anders,Velanna,Avernus,Tarohne,Idunna,Quentin,Osirno,Gascard
,Grace,Decimus,Uldred and the whole of Tevinter don't exist or that mundanes can deal with magic.<_<

Wardens do not make themselves out to be white knights that do nothing wrong, like the hypocritical templars. Anything to beat the darkspawn, even things the Chantry will refuse to use.
