I'll read the rest of this in a bit but one thing I hate about this game is it ruined my rep. Back in my CoD days I had a 91% disapproval rating and since this is PvE it's gone back up to like 60%.
Wait...you're mad because your rep improved?

Because I'm sad, I do tend to watch my rep go up and down. Quite a large chunk of my negatives are for "leaving early" but none of those have ever appeared after a game I didn't finish. The moral is pugs are weird and rep is meaningless.

But I was wondering more along the lines about what the kinds of things that make you annoyed enough to leave negative reviews.
How is it possible to be aggressive apart from kill-stealing?
I'd liked to think that I'm an all-round nice guy. If I play Jug, I spec as small shield and move it out of the way so that others can fire and use powers. If I play with a Jug; I try not to 'steal' their kills while they're melee-ing. I've seen lots of people shoot and melee targets that are within the Jug's grasp. Unless I press a power button mistakenly; I walk away.
Hey, really I suppose I was expecting an influx of friend requests because I'm a nice person, a mug, and I'm willing to split my wallet to the next person who smiles at me.

I usually give the people on my FL a positive review. I have yet to give anyone a negative one. To be honest I forget about the rep system most of the time.

I'll only avoid a person if they were absolutely terrible, as in really, really bad. Even then it's a skill review so it doesn't affect their rep. I'll avoid for being a bad team player on gold+, like not helping with objectives, dying far away from everyone all the time, not using gel/missiles or not reviving anyone when they go down. Has to be a combination of at least 2 of them to earn an avoid from me.AustereLemur799 wrote...

In games other than Mass Effect, using cheap guns/tactics and being a constant pain. In other words: Boltshot, C4, LSAT Target Finder, Claymore/Betty combo.AustereLemur799 wrote...

In Mass Effect, idk I don't take pugs seriously at all to even be bothered with that sorta thing.

Split your wallet, eh? When are we hanging out?
Just kidding. Don't worry about the rep, or make a game out of it. You have to understand that most people that report are kids (or grown ups acting like kids) who are upset over trivial matters. A more accurate representation is to see what people close to you think.

Great quote, I love it!
But unfortunately it also reminds me of another time where I left on the beginning of wave 11 (I wasn't the host) simply because I was annoyed with my performance throughout the match. I stayed all the way through all the objectives and then left on wave 11 because I felt as though I didn't deserve any reward.
I knew that was the one time when the team wouldn't mind being a person down (extraction). I did my part for the objectives.
You might think I'm duimb; I probably was. Maybe I am hard on myself, but I have my own code. I know that I didn't do enough to deserve any reward, so I did what I had to do.
Don't get me wrong; I won't ever bail when there's a job to be done.

Then I defo will be unsporting and quitting early

This is my first multiplayer game, and I've only recently started to top any score lists (and those have been Silver), so I haven't received any specific negative feedback. I probably deserve some, though, since I've been conserving my medi-gel on everything below Gold...

I'm currently at 79% preferred - 21% negative, split 20% aggressive, 60% unsporting & 20% quit early. The quit early is rather humorous - I've only purposely left one match: entered a Rio match that glitched where I could see no enemies & no teammates but I could still talk to the team & take damage. I left after telling the team in the hope that they would gain a teammate that would be more than a target dummy, and negative rep was my reward:)

Considering the performance of the servers, we should all probably have lots of negative rep for leaving early.
