Well, there was a tweet by Aaryan Flynn (I think) clarifying that what they showed were "mounts" not horses.

It basically means that we'll likely be able to ride more than horses.

We only saw horses because they are still in pre-alpha. I'm fairly certain they either don't have the animations for the rest ready or they just want to surprise us. Either option is likely.

that's what they were willing to show, game has been in development for over 2 years now, i'm sure they are beyond that by now (they have little more than a year to go before shipping)

Honestly, just stick with horses.  Maybe Brontos and hallas too.  i silly mount makes you look dumb, and an awesome mount just takes away from your PC's level of awesome.

Yeah and it's the last-of-it's-kind griffin who you earn it's trust by saving it. When word spreads , the grey wardens can't believe you actually tamed one but by doing so it helps persuade their fraction to follow you. 

Also it would just be really really awesome to fly around on one

I'm predicting (for tomorrow) a feature (possibly an interview) on either story, reactivity (possibly linked with story), or combat. Or maybe exploration.

I notice that in all of the pics of Cassandra, she's only wielding a single handed sword.

hopefully, that's a sign there will be a new, one handed sword style.

that would be perfect for a duelist/rapier style, or even an Arcane Warrior/Battlemage. they can wield a sword in one hand and fire spells with the other.

it would really suck if a companion gets a fighting/weapon style that's only available for that companion.

I was kinda let down when Friday we just got GI screenshots, for which I had already seen. So i'm betting we'll get another juicy video and article tomorrow! There's lots of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays this month, and given that we've gotten new info/images of things every one of those days except Friday, I'm betting we will continue to get new things. They've yet to show an interview with every writer.

I wish for more video interviews, so we can see more concept art, pre-alpha gameplay and more snippets of info.

Something I noticed: there's a quest called 'Reclamation', where the PC (I think) runs up the steps with the torch and there are corpses at the top of the stairs. It should be an early quest, because the PC was only level 3.

So probably this quest is where Inquisitor is reclaiming his first stronghold after the rip in the Veil.

I want concept art, never have enough of the stuff. I even collect concepts of games I'll never play and I like Matt Rhodes' style and the art direction Dragon Age seems to be taking.
