I believe she can't use Riordan because he's been a Warden too long.
It must be someone who hasn't been a Warden for very long, meaning two potential choices at a time-
A. The Warden
B. Alistair or Loghain
Or Morrigan found a servant boy, blood magic-ed him into taking the joining, then *bow-chiga-wow-wow*

I am hopeful for DA: I, but I think the "if the dark ritual was complete or not" is gonna be like if you save the collector base or not in ME2...in the end...it just gives some diff dialogue and a diff EMS score.
I am really hoping its more than that.

I hope for more too, but I'm setting my expectations low. As long as the choices for Inquisition have a reasonably large effect within Inquisition, I'll be happy though.LPPrince wrote...

Man. I hope they don't mess that up. I'm done with Mass Effect, I don't want to be done with DA too.

Same here.Having Elfs and Dwarfs is a big deal but the bottom line is choice. They did it well in DAO.I hope they will do it in DA:I.I not sure I will preorder.I planned on waiting till fans actually posted about it.The fact they are adding the other races is a plus.

Wait, a chain? What are you referring to? I really want to know! =)Gaiden96 wrote...
The recently uncovered exploration skills, the (apparent) use of a chain in combat for warriors, the race/class repercussions in regards to the story, etc, that's the stuff I'm most interested in.

Just sayin. Dragon Age needs more dragons if its gonna be the Age of...Dragons.
I'm trying to remember but I believe Dragon Age wasn't called that because there were Dragons at every corner. I believe it was so named because of a single Dragon incident. Prior to that Dragons weren't seen for centuries.
fwiw
Hell I don't even know if I remembered that right. Lore Masters? Front n center! We need a question answered.

I just rewatched the video where Mark says that the Inquisitor is the "sole survivor" of what caused the tear in the sky and I'm starting to believe that we are going to have the amnesiac trope thrown at us...
No, Flemeth is going to swoop in at the beginning of the game and save us, just like in DA:O and DA II.
heh y'know I never saw it as Flemeth swooping in and saving heroes so much as moving pieces on her chess board.
I felt manipulated and loved it.

That's right, it was a single dragon attack on the tail end of King Maric's rebellion. It tore through Orlais and put a wrench in the reconquest plans.ChandlerL wrote...

The GI article makes mention that warriors have access to a chain in combat, with the purpose of dragging enemies closer. I'm not entirely sure how this works since the article isn't very descriptive, though I assume it's much like the "Pull of the Abyss" Force Mage spell but far less flashy and (most likely) single-target.
I have to admit though, it has me both concerned and excited.
I don't want to be Kratos in Thedas

Same here. Adding the multiple races was the deciding factor to buy the game, but I'm done with preorders. It's gotten to the point that you don't get anything extra with preorders now, or what they do give you is worthless anyway (extra skin for multiplayer? an extra weapon?) It's not like in the older days where they would give you all this extra dlc content free for preordering.

It wouldn't surprise me if that dragon turned out to be Flemeth, though that might just be me being paranoid.

So, uh...like the Rachni? I am sorry but I am gonna believe it when I see it
also "the fact that she is not a party member might upset some"
Really? No **** uh? I mean I understand under a certain POV (like ZOMG why can't I bang Morrigan as the inquisitor? And why is she not Herosexual?" but after going out of their way to give her the thickest plot armor ever (thicker than Liara god dammit) she is not even a party member? Bah

I loved Morrigan (my favourite companion in DAO), and I didn't want her as a companion, but as a major NPC. So I'm happy about this development.

But it's a bit funny how some of these changes are no-brainers when it comes to RPGs that you wonder how they could forget about them in the first place. WHAT?! Exploration in my RPG!? How novel!
Perhaps DA follows the Devil May Cry arc, where first was solid, second was an abortion, and the third was pure bliss.
Hopefully the optional addition to the dialogue wheel is meaningful. The vague system DA2 had isn't very satisfying.
