Love the female dwarf.
Edit : she looks more dwarven with a bigger picture.

I don't know, I think her features look pretty Dwarven to me. Maybe it's because the image is cropped? Once we get a full-body image of the female Dwarf it might alter people's opinions. In any case, this is just one face.

The other character ( the scribe girl ? ) isn't confirmed though.
She's still technically a character. She's been in concept art too (the one where inquisitor stabs the table)

Race selection! And tied to background! Yay!
Mounts! And they go out of their way to distinguish that from just saying "horses". I'm thinking horses, halla, bronti (would be cool), at least one griffon, and hopefully at least one dwarf riding a mabari a la Oghren.
Large open areas! Spacious, lots of stuff, even weather that actually effects both exploration and combat.. Awesome stuff. One thing that surprised me was the constructive exploration abilities, like moving rocks or repairing a bridge as a mage. I love this kind of stuff, so this is one thing I didn't ask for (outside of the idea of context sensitive nature magic and elemental specs, which I still think are really cool ideas) that I'm really looking forward to. The terrain is tied to different movement animations, natural changes in speed of movement, traversal, etc. Mud after rain even. Fantastic stuff.
Tied to that: Battlefield tactics, more than ever! So position on the battlefield matters, the AI has situational and positional awareness and group tactics that adjust accordingly and combined arms type skills. Combat sounds appropriately fast but grounded. Excellent. I think the warrior chain skill is kind of their take on the Dragon's Dogma strider skill where you use ropes to disrupt defensive enemies, and sure enough it likewise serves as a shield counter. Good on you, BioWare. That's one of the better things to take from that game. And then things like damaging a dragon's armor and then poisoning it, leading to actual changes in behaviour and animation, etc? Wow, good stuff.
Modular character unique equipment (which we already saw a bit), and visual/stat equipment crafting. Customization is back in force, and it is cool.
We knew Morrigan was going to factor in, but it looks even more involved than I thought it might be. She's my personal fave DA character so I'm thrilled. I don't prefer companion status here (because of how the Warden might play a part), so I like it a lot.
Some kind of optional choice clarifying system for the dialogue wheel? Sounds good.
One thing nobody's mentioned that strikes me as a major thing, something I'm really very much looking forward to, is the idea that the Inquisition as an organization will grow and change along with your character and the choices you make, so that it's intended to act almost as an extension of your character. That has me excited. And then the idea of leading a siege action on an unwilling fortified location, things like that, and actively taking part in what your larger army is doing, that also has me excited. That's something new and different and very cool. I had the idea of a game set around growing your own nation out of the tribes of the Wilds in a future game, and this has kind of that same ring to it. I'm very much looking forward to that.
So once again, it feels like Christmas in the summertime, and this game just keeps getting better and better every time I hear something new, so I'm highly anticipating it. I suspect it will most likely be my favorite DA yet all told. My only determinative questions right now are about the import systems. I very much hope we'll be able to transfer our saves from 360 to the PS4, in my case, as that's likely my first next gen system. I know they're working on it, and I hope that works out optimally. And then the import itself, hopefully will allow us to correct for missing parts (like a certain Witch Hunt playthrough I had to delete for my first fElf warden I imported to DA2 from), using our cloud profiles or whatever it is. This will actually determine when I'll buy the game and for what system. If this turns out to all work out well, I'll probably be pre-ordering for the PS4 asap.
edit: typo and a word :-)

She's still technically a concept. Until we see her in the game and confirmed by dev to exist people shouldn't take her existence for granted. She could end up on the cutting floor a few month before release because of time constraint like Shale was or cut like Cassandra showing up in Act 3 of DA2 despite dialog having been recorded to this effect.

By scribe, do you guys mean the one from the survey that looks like she's painting? I hope she makes it. I'd like a painter in the party.
Inquisitor: "Get ready, here comes some darkspawn!"
Painter girl: "I'm ready sir! Wait... can you move a little to the left? Ah, perfect! I'll make sure to capture your likeness perfectly as you battle darkspawn"
Inquisitor: "Why do I bring you along again?"

Unlike DA2, the facial structure doesn´t remind me of an ape, so it´s alright. Now let´s hope they fix the DS too.

I'm mostly happy that the Elves have severed their bloodties to Dobbie the House Elf.
Looking at that list of features on the front page makes me think that this incarnation of DA actually has the potential to surpass DAO.
*goes back to hitting F5 in the hope of more news from Game Informer*

I think the new female dwarf is awesome. The DAO female dwarf was somewhat childlike - this is better.Allan Schumacher wrote...

I actually think the biggest improvement of the head designs is the female dwarf.
Haha, I am finding a real love/hate with the female dwarf. I have seen a decent amount of "She doesn't look dwarven enough" types of posts (which I guess isn't "hate" but I like to be dramatic)

Agreed.
Can't wait to see the Darkspawn though.

I had decided, pretty absolutely, not to buy DA:Inquisition. To me, "Inquisition" was a deal-breaker. Not the name, but playing the leader of the Inquisition? It'd be like "Mass Effect: Secret Police" (you're the new Illusive Man!) or "Jade Empire: Cultural Revolution" (look up "Cultural Revolution" if you don't get it). I have to admit, though, that how heavily they're pushing the freedom to direct the group, its separation from the Chantry, and especially the inclusion of non-humans have me rethinking my position. ...okay, not a lot, but the chances of me buying DA:I have gone from "zero" to "slight."
I can understand your point of view if it was Assassins Creed Inquisition And you play the role of the leader of the Spanish Inquisition

Thedas isn't real though. BioWare is free to tweak the automated reaction to the word as they -- and the players -- wish.

Welcome to every RPG ever. Whether you're saving the world or leading a small army you still have the choice of dropping it all and getting drunk in the tavern.

It might be a good idea to wait until we actually know anything about the idealogical nature of the Inquisition before making snap decisions.
