I do hope that companions have their own mounts if we're gonna be traveling across the map together.

If not, I'll probably travel on foot.

Oh my, I just came back from vacancy, there is too much news to handle, I'm so happy about the possibility to play other races, and there are horses too ! Fantastic :D

But who is supposed to be the character who jumps on the dragon  (at 04:08, the one who has white hair) ? An other sad moment I guess, interesting :)

Why ? do we really need system where You see that you're "lost" two companions because their horses stuck on rock ?? We can't forget than in DA:O or DA2 companions liked to stuck on everything

That why i hope they will never do something as give horses for companions unless it will be showed on time "travel" on map of Thedas not in area You will explore.

Same. Hell, in Skyrim I actually preferred to leave the mounts at the stables and just walk across Skyrim alone.

I'll probably do the same in Inquisition regardless, just to extend playtime.

Exactly. The same. This is an adventure I want to feel with my companions.  No way I mount alone with the feeling of being alone in the world. :?

In Skyrim I wasn't that bothered because companions aren't really alive, they are just functional. But that's another story with Bioware's characters.

I don't care if everybody else disappears/the horse vanishes based on context. I can see how people would like it to be more realistic, but it just doesn't seem that important to me, especially when so many problems are solved by doing it the vanishing way.

I'm not going to rage if the companions will disappear when you ride a horse, since I understand that the problem of implementing fours mounts. I'd like to have it though.

Aye, I would learn to live with it. Was just something that irked me about SWTOR companions. But that was only one follower and they never seemed to figure it out/worry about giving the companions mounts as well. And I imagine there are a great deal more challenges involved with three of them instead of just one.

Aye Sylvianus. I want to be around my squad in Inquisition.

If that means walking instead of riding, I'll do it.

Yup. Kind of silly to have a huge open world to trek across if you're going to be stuck doing it solo whenever you use a mount. There are mods in Skyrim that make horses for followers work pretty well and there is nothing more awesome than charging across the map with a bunch of your followers right alongside you.

The pathfinding can get a little odd at times but I'd take that as opposed to not having any mounts for followers.

I hope so too. If they disappear while mounted, where is the party banter coming from?

That said, I really love how the exploration is turning out. It seems much more detailed than ME1's sandboxes, which became tedious after a while.

I wonder if the mount system will affect how banter works.

Oooh, very good idea ! While it is less epic than four adventurers on their mounts, it could still adress the issue !

Y'know, the real question is whether or not our horse will have a romance option, and whether the horse will have same-sex romance options.

It sort of makes sense that mounts would be tied to an ability ala the standard mmo model. If there are partywide mounts that normal post combat find your horse phase would a. seem kind of janky for Dragon Age and b. be a giant pain if there are four horses all running in random directions. It may very well be a partywide ability where everyone mounts up and uses the normal following AI, only faster.

I hope it's not just with a poof. They figured out how to do a "summon out of nowhere" mechanic right all the way back in Ocarina of Time.

Guaranteed now that there will be a My little Pony mod to turn your mount into your favorite pony.

Skyrim had a few rather infamous MLP mods that not only changed mounts into MLP characters but also weapons and such.

Inquisition won't be able to be modded however, at least not to that extent. Bummer.

Then again I'll be playing the game on Xbox One so no mods for me regardless. :P

A good update, didn't excite me as much as previous ones but good nonetheless. Looking forward to seeing the UI in the future to see what changes it will experience
