He meant books that happened after DA:O and DA2. Like if Wynne is alive or not depends on your gameplay. They'll still find a way to make them canon since some of these events are too important to be forgotten (Cole, Wynne's death etc)Myrkale wrote...

The way they occured in the books is canon. They may retcon it later but until then it is. Deal with it
Headcanons are trash, why should they get respected? I understand fanon theories, personal stories about the Warden and Hawke, but once a player starts beliving that their headcanon is more important than real canon, they are lost. Forever
I believe Gaider posted somewhere that the events in the books was canon, but how they occured in the game world differed based on choices made by the player. The comics were stated to be based on a game one of the devs had.
Since none of my games have events that differ from either of the books/comics I'd be happy if the events were mentioned in the games.
Sadly we have people that will always go "LALALALALALAALALA It didn't happen! Not cannon!! LALALALALALA *sticks fingers in ears*" because of Gaider's statement.
Events that happened before are canon no matter what

Is it tomorrow's update? Or today's? Did they push it back to Tuesday because of the American holiday?

The combat looks very much like Dragon's Dogma. I approve.

They are, in the same pseudo canon sense as Asunder, according to Gaider. They may have happened differently, but they did happen.Cap. Obvious wrote...

the DEV's have stated time and again, if it didn't happen in a game or wasn't a codex entry, it doesn't count, never happened, and never existed

it's in here. just in very old and very long threads. would have better luck PMing one of the devs than finding it

Thats actually not true. What they said is that the main events covered in books, comics, etc happened, they just might have happened differently in your playthrough. The end results definitely happen i.e. Asunder might have happened differently in your world state, however it remains cannon that the mages have broken away from the circle and the templars and seekers have splintered from the Chantry.

Maybe the Maker will shine upon us and we will get a high quality official version of the full gameplay reveal at PAX?
