I liked both the DAO Trees and the DA2 tree but the DA2 trees were more visual.

The shape of the tree was good - it was the restrictions that were bad.

Modded, the DA2 trees were better.

Unmodded, the DAO trees were better.

That seems ironic.

After listening to the last podcast, I like the fact that they are trying to avoid talking about the story or elements that are not 100% locked down, for I think that will prevent people from presuming what the direction of the game and feel the game might go in some direction that it really won't.

Yes, they are protecting themselves from BSN.

It's not just BSN.  It's Youtube, Reddit, 4chan, and all that sort of stufft too! =]

why would you even delve into those insane asylums in the first place?!?!

Buyers for the game.Customers.
New customers who didn't buy DAO or DA2.
Bioware wants them.

4chan & reddit are not places to be feared, really. Some people on there have good and valid points about certain subjects.

Actually, white certain parts of reddit are as manic as their reputation makes them out to be, both the ME and Dragon Age subreddits are surprisingly civil. Actually I'd say that between bsn and the bioware subreddits, the subreddits are probably the saner of the two.

4chan, Reddit, etc can be cesspools (cancer) but generally speaking some of the boards on 4chan for instance have people who actually know what they are talking about. If you stay clear of /b/ you should avoid most of the cancer. But then even /b/ can have the occasional intelligent post.

I'd trust a /v/ analysis and critique of the game far more than a BSN one.

It may not have been clear, but I tend to use =] when I am being silly.

I don't even frequent reddit nor 4chan and honestly am not able to assess the quality of posts that happen on either.  It was merely a friendly jab at their reputations (and not overlooking that the BSN also has its reputation).

@Allen: Whatever do you mean? I was under the impression that BSN was the serene oasis of good wholesome, balanced discourse between civilized gentlemen and ladies, where a proper tone and a firm eye on logic and rhetoric set a high standard?

(..../snicker).
