ROF bonuses aren't too good on the Reegar because shots mysteriously vanish.

You can also do this with the lowly singularity:devil: and you can always forgo Rof for a slightly stronger PM.

But so are many other things in this game, all kits capable of spamming grenades is also OP, so i'm not sure I understand the rather sizeable contingent of BSN that hates on the Reegar so much.

I use the acolyte a lot, but for stripping bosses shields, there is no comparison, the Reegar rules.

Not to mention there is actually skill involved with this weapon; you need to be able to get close enough to enemies to use it without dying .. while that is not going to be a problem for almost all on the forum, I see plenty of players that have that problem ...

They usually only get away with it a few times in the early waves.  By late game they get RM'd into a sync, or simply run out of grenades.

I don't hate the Reegar because it's OP. I hate it because I don't like a gun that shoots lightning and relies on me being super close to the enemy.

It will melt shields. Its basically the acolyte of shotguns.

Regarding incendiary ammo, any weapon with high rate of fire will exploit its damage stacking. At this point in the game's life cycle, incendiary ammo exploits are just part of the game. A ton of kits/weapons can exploit incendiary ammo. So get over your "op", "cheesy", aversion to incendiary ammo, because its here for the long run.

I do love cheesy cheese. Also, it's not the Acolyte of shotguns. The Acolyte is the Reegar of pistols.
